As you all know, we're Welsh and we know we are. So.....can we name an all Welsh Shrewsbury team?
I'll start, after all, it was my idea.
Manager : Kevin Ratcliffe.
Asistant Manager : thenotoriousfbs.

Or John Phillips in goal.
Dave Collier at right back.

Ok here's my attempt.
GK: John Phillips RB: Dave Collier CB: Dave Hughes CB: Mark Hughes LB: Tony Larkin RM: Dave Edwards CM: Paul Evans CM: Alan Durban LM: ST: Carl Griffiths ST: Darren Rowbotham
I'm struggling to think of Welsh players for wide right and left so put Dave Edwards in there as he did play on the right a few times.

Mickey Thomas would be a useful addition to the midfield

Dan James on the left.
Barely played for us before being shipped back but has been playing for Swansea regularly this season.

Danny Coyne/Neville Southall as GK cover on the bench.

I think we can bolster the forward line with Gerry Nardiello. Gerry played 38 games for Town, scoring 11 goals. Gerry's brother, Donato played for Wales on two occasions.

How many of the players nominated so far were actually born in Wales?

I suppose you could say how many Man U/Man City players were born in England.
Didn't Jamie Tolley play for Wales under 21s?

I can't believe we all forgot Jamie Tolley, same with Darren Moss.
Ben Davies certainly wasn't born in Wales, he's a Brummie if I remember correctly, but I think he is Welsh so I'm guessing Welsh parent or parents.

Crikey! That's brilliant, Ex. I wish I'd thought of it.
My only addition to that team would be big Jim Holton. The guy was a beast. We got 80 grand for him when he moved to Man U. Tragedy when he broke his leg, then passed away far too early.

Would agree Jaytee. Put Hilton in for Joe Wallace. The only doubt then would be Pitman - is he Scottish or American? If it is the latter, have we got on obvious left back? If not, Jack Grimmer would have to cover that side.

Coach Hartford Now that would have been a front three worth watching! The FA Cup winner Jimmy Bullions would be another worthy of consideration in the midfield, also Ross McLaren or Jimmy Lindsay.

As Exkeeper has branched out into a Scottish XI, how about an Irish XI. That might be a bit more difficult so I've gone for a combined Northern Ireland/Republic of Ireland XI, but there are some gaps that I couldn't fill.
GK: RB: CB: Graham Coughlan CB: Mark Williams LB: Tommy Lynch RM: Jimmy McLaughlin CM: Bernard McNally CM: Gerry Daly LM: Mark Dempsey ST: Jimmy Quinn ST:
Can anyone fill in any of the gaps? I thought of Harry Gregg but I don't think he actually played in goal for Town, just managed the club.

Terry Harkin knew where the back of the net was and former manager Harry Gregg could have filled in between the posts.

The only reason is that I did not consult any historical references, I did in about 7 minutes from the top of my head. You could go along way towards picking a second XI but the problem may be Ryan Edson in goal. Colin Mcmenemin would get a game though.
