Hopefully if he gets the job the Oldham fans would give him a bit more time than some Town fans gave him.

Wish him every success if he gets the job, always had a soft spot for Oldham.

Askey wasn’t that bad.
He bought in some decent players but didn’t know what to do with them.
I wish him well, wherever he goes, he tried but he wasn’t the right manager for us.

Maybe he'd be interested in taking one or two from us to Oldham. That could work out well.

I guess this would also mean Scholes would have to cease his involvement with Salford?

I believe a while ago the Man U crowd sold out to a money man, only keeping about 10% of shares.

I guess this would also mean Scholes would have to cease his involvement with Salford? Almost certain of that. GT couldn't take over here until he had severed his ties with Hereford, albeit we were both in the same league back then, not sure if the rules are different for clubs in different leagues. Mind you, isn't Nicky Butt head of the MUFC academy? And he's still one of the Salford co-owners.

I bet mourinho will be licking his lips at the prospect of sniping back at scholes when he is now in the dugout

Would be surprised to see JA surface at a League side.
Did his CV no favours with us, have the feeling that like Keith Hill and John Coleman, Askey was and is a one club man.

It said more about STFC than it did about JA The quick departure of many of his signings would argue otherwise... It really says very little. Just about every new Town manager I can think of in recent times had a clear out during their early time in charge, that is now accentuated by only being able to do it in a transfer window. When Ricketts eventually moves on it's odds on his successor will also have a clear out.
