I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's pretty sad when a Wrexham fan has nothing better to do than come on our board to belittle Chester FC. I thought non league clubs were supposed to stick together? Ps Notorious Chester actually lost to Stockport not Hereford. Maybe the Welsh language use the same word for both Hereford and Stockport. What is Welsh for cr@p - is it Wrecsam? the word for Stockport is s**thouses in any language

Not to many more seasons until we have been in the football league longer than Wrexham wracked up...
Once your get down there its hard to get back up thats for sure.
Unless your Salop and you did it first time....

Unless your Salop and you did it first time.... Yes, but let's be honest here. Hereford finished 17 points ahead of Shrewsbury in 2nd place. We then got lucky in that Woolmer sent off Tretton in Hereford's game against Aldershot so we never had to play them in the playoffs. We won both playoff games via penalty shootouts, the 2nd shootout taking place with Howie moving off his line before every Aldershot penalty was taken without being penalized. The side that went up was so poor that Peters had to be brought in to replace Quinn or we might have gone straight back down again. Lucky or what?

Relegation to the Conference was awful and the pressure during that Conference campaign to get back up was something else, I do think that if we hadn't of managed it then we might well be still down there. Yet looking back I do think it did us the world of good (and we can say that because we bounced straight back up ). It galvanized the support base I think, very much a case of "you don't what you've got until its gone". No doubt that the move to the new ground has had a huge impact on the numbers we now see watching Town at home (and away) but I do also think that shirt stint in the Conference played some part too. It was a kick in the pips at the time no mistake but it did seem to wake us up a bit too, bring some focus to the club that has helped us since...

Our 4 rivals that year were Chester, Hereford, Barnet and Aldershot.
Chester are now in the National League North, having just lost 6-0 at home. Hereford are also in the National League North. Both Hereford and Chester had to start again after going bust. Barnet are halfway up the National League. Aldershot are about to be relegated to the National League South.

Also the fact that our Chairman had laid foundations towards a better future with regards to developing and selling young players which was just starting to bear fruit. Just a pity we had Ratcliffe as manager.........

Ratcliffe though, saved us from going down three years earlier, after King filled the team with poor quality players.

Solihull Moors v Leyton Orient is the key game.
If Solihull can win that one, Salford will win the title if they themselves win their last 3 games.

We'd of taken the play-offs before the start od the season. More so after the comical managerial decisions etc YOU! YOU SHREWSBURY! LOOK LIKE YOU'VE ESCAPED THE DROP! For the time being. Welcome to the world of disappointment Shrewsbury! Your season has ended. Kaput! Zilco. Sweet f.. You're playing and turning up for nothing after it's mathematically 'safe'
We've got an exciting season finale.
IF we get to Wembley again. I bet there will be a few day trippers from 'Shrewsbury' at Wembley again. Chirk, Ellesmere. St Martins etc The usual suspects. Reality. There's some STFC fans out there....who have only seen a Wembley win...day tripping watching Wrexham! FACT!
Play-offs here we come! Big support assured. Always nice to be involved at the business end of he league.
Well well well? Envious. Jealous 'Judith Charmers' type Shrews....

Not really Naughty. I have no wish to be involved in a kick and rush end of the season scramble in a kick and rush league.

You have got to love Notoriousfbs, the gift that keeps giving ! Considering that Jaytee started this thread as a bit of a joke on Boxing Day,to quote-: "Would all drunken lonely Wrexham lager swillers with no friends please post on this thread to keep your inebriating nonsense in Juan place". It's excellent that Notorious has stuck to the request as almost all of his posts since have appeared here ! Just a little fact for you Notorious, at 13th place in League 1 we are currently 57th in the pyramid. Wrexham are 39 places below at 96th. To turn it around I can't imagine that there are many Shrewsbury fans who would consider going on the message boards of the club who are 39 places better off than ourselves, namely Cardiff City, to boast that we are a bigger and better club than them Best of luck in the play offs, I'd rather see Orient and Wrexham back in the FL than another two "rich mans play thing" clubs like Salford, Harrogate or AFC Fylde !

Well well well......unless Wrexham can win their next game 15 - 0, their automatic promotion is Jed. I must confess, I didn't expect them to finish above giants like Solihull Moors, but I didn't expect them to be looking fearfully over their shoulder at a pub side called AFC Filed, or something.
www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/national-league/table
They've still got Harrogate coming to town as well. They won't give them anything.
Very worrying times for the north wales scousers........

Solihull Moors v Leyton Orient on Monday is the key game. If Orient lose that, Salford can still win the title. If they draw, Salford have to improve their goal difference.

Well well well...well well well indeed
Shrewsbury fans seem more concerned about the fortunes of Wrexham AFC at present than their own team?
Bar a bibical-scale disaster it looks like you're staying up.
What a turn around for last season though? Vying for promotion at Wembley and botttling it to keep your hoodoo intact.
Nice feeling winning at Wembley. Ask any Wrexham fan. City, Liverpool, Man Utd...The Greats
And we've won at Cardiff also. Whilst Wembley was being patched up. Europe as well down the years?
The Play Offs? The honest opinion on the strrets is..
NO ONE IS EXCITED
NO ONE IS EXCITED
NO ONE IS EXCITED
NO ONE IS EXCITED

It's because apart from playing the season out in safety while watching the relegation dogfight below us, we can observe the struggle of non-league minnows like Harrogate, AFC Filed and Wrexham to clamber out of the league of death.

A few of us are keeping this thread alive by replying to his childish remarks. The sooner the end of the season comes the better. Surely with Wrexham starting yet another season in non league football we wont have to put with it much longer.

Stockport, Torquay, 2 from Macclesfield, Yeovil and Notts County, improvement from Chesterfield and Hartlepool. Plenty to keep Wrexham occupied next season. Advantage Chorley in the national league north. 2-0 win at home to Stockport today in front of 3,597. Far and away their best crowd of the season.
