Gregory is out for quite a while with a stress fracture to his back, so I suppose having 3 keepers is just about justified, especially as I can't imagine they'll be paying Charles Cook much. O’Leary is a very good young keeper You've seen him play a few times then?

9 days left.
Jules, Kennedy, Hendrie, Loft, Morris, Gnahoua, Colkett, Coleman and Emmanuel all gone. Jones probably to follow.
To be replaced by:-
1. an expensive 32 year old who has had injury problems all season. 2. a player who can't play for us until next season. 3. a young forward who apparently runs around a lot but didn't score a single League goal whilst on loan to Oxford. 4. a goalkeeper rejected by us 6 months ago after a trial period. 5. a 33 year old given a free transfer by Crawley and who is being brought in for his attitude rather than for a specific position. 6. and maybe a 30 year old who has been without a club this season.
1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 have all either played with or been managed by SR. 3. has probably been recommended by his mate Edwards.

I'm not normally a pessimist but have to agree It's not looking good. Feels like we need to brace ourselves for L2. Just hoping Rickets can turn it around but it needs to happen now.

Ricketts did say something in the Star today about having a decision to make regarding his involvement for Saturday but I thought I heard on Radio Shropshire when driving earlier that he was not going to be fit for Saturday.

If we go down then I think we should look a little higher up than Rickets. The blame lies at the start of the season for everything that happened once Hurst left.

with holloway injured you would hope the top priority is a forward

with holloway injured you would hope the top priority is a forward The top priority should perhaps be for 2 forwards with LJL out for the season and Angol not wanting to be bothered to put in any effort. If Holloway is injured then all we effectively have left is Fejiri and Smith, neither of whom is suited to play the lone forward role.

Was there ever any indication of how long Edwards will be our for? i have not heard any , i looked up groin strains on a physiotherapy site and a sever groin strain can take up to 6 weeks , unfortunately virtually every action a footballer does in training or a game aggravate it and it can flare up. so this will take the time it takes .

A less morose individual who tries to find an ounce of joy in life could easily write a sunnier summary.

Adam Johnson the ex Sunderland winger is due for release from prison in March and wants to return to football. I would think his future now lies abroad but do wonder if maybe an EFL club would take a chance despite probable objections from fans.
