Interesting to see who ends up there.

"Bristol Rovers manager Darrell Clarke has resigned after he and the club agreed it was in the ‘best interests’ that a change was needed."

Well. Now then. I do wonder. Will there be a return of the prodigal come early next year? We must have been around about the same spot wen he took over us I'd have thought...

Yes. I've posted on another thread that it would only be a matter of time before PH would be able to apply for either the Bristol or Bradford job.
Here's his 1st chance to do so. And I'm sure Rodman and Payne will put in a good word for him.

I think it might need to be the other way round.

Trump, President of United States, Boris Johnson in line to be next UK Prime Minister and Graham Westley in the betting to be next Bristol Rovers manager. The world really has gone mad.

I guess the distance from his base in Sheffield might be a stumbling block.
Not sure there will be a vacancy at Bradford any time soon but who knows in football!! Seems to be more going on there than just footballing problems.
Bradford have recently parted company with the chairman & chief exec Edin Rahic after talks with main shareholder Stefan Rupp,
Also appointed Anton McElhone as the club’s new assistant head coach.

The Gas may look at the other side of the Severn Bridge and grab Mike Flynn from Newport, I think they are like us and prefer to bring in a up and coming manager from a lower league.

Mr Hurst spotted in the past hour running into the Memorial Stadium clutching his CV Smug looking so and so! If he returns to Monty Meadows managing a new team I hope and expect our team to wipe the smile off his face.

Hurst is a shoe in there surely?
And Clarke has done a fabulous job there. It might have petered out but he himself will be in demand.

He's probably hanging on to the dream of getting the Sheffield Weds job, which certainly looks like it will come up soon. No chance (I think!).

They looked awful when they visited us...which was scary as we looked just as bad!
That was the game where JA really lost the crowd IMO, was just dire!

Wimbledon and Bristol Rovers are starting to look like relegation favourites, closely followed by Sc***horpe.
Anyone's guess after that. I can see Bradford getting out of trouble now that their owner has finally left. Oxford are now playing too well to be involved. Rochdale must be bad to have lost to Plymouth over the weekend, so both those Clubs are in the mix. Gillingham have Mr Eaves to help them get a few points on the Board. Outside bet are Accrington who are at present sinking like a stone.
And then there's us. Halfway into the season with 25 points, and will need at least the same number of points during the 2nd half of the season to see us safe.

But it was the Chairman who was basically fouling things up with his decision making as far as I can gather.

Three straight wins for Graham Coughlan now. He expressed an interest in the job this week and was joint bookies favourite, I expect he may well get the job now.

I’d imagine Coughlan will get the job on current form, he seems to have got them going.

Bradford deserve success after sticking with the manager through a terrible loosing streak. The fans knew the problems at the club were not his fault and since the changes at the very top it has come together for the manager and his team. PH must have thought the job was his a few weeks ago.

Indeed best of luck to him except when they play us. Always liked him as a player. I remember an end of season awards evening when he was captain and he was at the top of the stairs welcoming the fans. And that's a lot more than recent managers have done too!!

Best of luck to him. Sure he commands respect within the dressing room anyhow, as a player he always came across as a no nonsense sort...
