If it is an offence to hold some Juan in utter contempt, I'm a frayed I'm guilty as charged.

It was a big step up for Nolan & Toto last season with us (which they handled brilliantly) so always a huge ask to expect them to step up another level again.
Must admit I was half expecting a bit of a dip in form from them had they stayed after the ultimate disappointment at the end of last season.
Think they are good enough to play through this spell & come good but it may well come after Hurst has been shown the door.

If he survives to October he has a lovely run of games that includes Middlesbrough, Leeds and Millwall away who are pretty much indestructible at the den.

All this anti- Hurst stuff is getting tedious. Leave the guy alone and try and move on from it all. Nope!! You could always ignore the thread?? No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to read it I do apologise. I am obviously addressing perfect human beings who have never done anything wrong or have made a mistake in their lives. Hope you are all very proud of yourselves.

Think you have totally missed the point. Many of us are still very cut up at the way PH left the club and probably unsettled the team going into the Wembley Final. For me I feel we are seeing a little bit of payback with what is now happening at both clubs. Suggest as has already been said you ignore this thread in future. It probably won't make for very good reading for you.

I've been a Hurst defender, and have said that I'd quite like to see Ipswich (Toto and Nolan in particular) do well.
But even I haven't been able to stop a wry smile creeping across my face at their struggles so far. Don't think you can blame people for taking a macabre interest in it really.

I'm loving it at the minute - no real axe to grind against Ipswich fans but the sooner PH gets shown the door the better for me.

I would say I’m in the same camp. Lost some respect for him but without having wished ill on him, but I’m not sorry to see it going badly thus far. Toto and Nolan I’d like to see succeed though, and there are other clubs I’d be happier seeing crash and burn than Ipswich, but still - I’m happy enough with how things have panned out.

Seen the light Bob Rick. I've taken more a macabre interest in it and am actively salivating at the East anglian yokels (of which I know a few) spitting and frothing.

I've got half on eye on it on a dodgy stream.
Brentford are battering them. Should be 2 up at least.

Losing 1-0 at home to Brentford H/T.
Nolan on the bench, Nsiala not in squad (Still suspended?)
Looks like a 3-5-2 formation for Ispwich.

The latest thread on TWTD is that Evans has had enough and has spoken to two managers about replacing Hurst, who has allegedly had lots of fall-outs and upset a number of staff. All rumours of course, but the poster apparently has previous for getting these things right, before they become reality.

More breaking news. Nolan completely Miss Kicks in front of goal, ball spins off a Brentford player for a corner.
Nolan strokes his ginger hair three times without reply.

Ipswich have equalised, although I had a look at their forum at half time and it wasn’t pretty reading as far as Hursty was concerned, if they turn it around to win it’ll be interesting to see what reactions come from it then.

Was glad to see Ipswich pick up after the break and pick up what seems to be a merited point.
Fingers crossed they can get a result at the weekend, just hope Hurst can turn it around as he must be close to the precipice.

Sorry to intrude but I have a look on your pages every now and again for obvious reasons.
You'll see the team is without a win yet this season and while tonight was a welcome point against a good Brentford side the first half was very poor. We picked up a gear after the break and could have won it late on but that would have been unfair on the away side. Some were actually requesting Hurst's resignation a few days ago, I don't know if they were serious but you can understand people getting animated in the heat of the moment.
I may have said before that the best the club can hope for with the new manager is stability. McCarthy offered that for six years and it was pretty painful to witness on occasion. Bringing in a new name from lower league was a risk, needless to say it hasn't really gone in our favour since the appointment.
Essentially tonight we may have been fortunate to take something from the game as the first 45 was well below standard. And that's what worries me. It's not the first time we've looked totally inept in the first half of a game only to improve after the break. Teams that accomplish and prevail need to focus for near 90 minutes, that's how games are won. All very well saying 'well done' getting a point from it at the end but there's so much room for improvement at the club and time for new faces to fit in and adapt. After 17 years in the same league I feel as if we have all the time in the world.
It's not much fun to be a Town supporter at the moment, had some bad news with the passing of Beattie but if he was looking down tonight he will have been proud of the way the team got back into it and showed enough character to take something from it and a useful opposition side.
