It certainly seems they are waiting for him.
Roland will know this.
Let's see who is lined up.
Whatever PH chooses to do he's done a magnificent job for Shrewsbury and it's been an absolute blast. If he feels he can better himself then all the best to him.
Burton kicked on when clough left.

And there is still the possibility that Ipswich ask permission and Roland tells them where to shove their tractor.

If the rumours are true, which they probably are, he could not have picked a worse time to upsticks. We will be sbout 4 weeks away from players returning to training, with loanees going home and others waiting to discuss contract renewal. Added to that he will no doubt want to take his back room staff with him as well. Even if a new manager could be appointed quickly, he would have very little time to assess the squad, negotiate contracts (although the Chief Exec could do that) and persuade new players to join the club. Last year we had a warm weather training camp in Portugal - can we assume that this will not happen again. If he does decide to walk out on us, I believe that we could do worse than trying to persuade Chris Doig to take the reins, as he has played a big part in this season's success and the players obviously respect him. I think if he did leave the club at this stage and we lose the final, I would suggest fans view of PH would very quickly change as the club would then be left with a dog's dinner of a mess to sort out in a very short time before the start of the next season.

My view of Hurst will never change, regardless of what decision he makes.

Tony Mowbray will be announced as the new Ipswich boss on Tuesday - the sticking point has been Ipswich agreeing a compensation deal with Blackburn.
Ironically, exactly the same sticking point we faced when PH moved to us from Grimsby

While Hurst stock is high he might as well wait for Sheffield Wednesday to sack their manager in October....

Still leaves Derby which is a more likely move for Paul.

Yet more proof that you have the very slimmest of grasps on reality. As an aside, are we still meeting for a pint tomorrow pre-match?
