i know we now have some live music outside of the ground but i think town are missing an opportunity , we have some really talented musicians in Shropshire. i appreciate there may be some pre match recorded music favorites the fans like to hear in the ground but why not include a feature of local bands and hear there material and promote Shropshire talent.
i recently heard Heidi Brown been interviewed she has a lovely voice. i have no idea why she is not a big star. what are fans thoughts about giving local talent a step up?

you could say the majority of fans avoid the fan zone as its not their thing, but this way we could force them to listen ;-)

I guess not too many musicians/bands want to play for nothing on a Saturday lunchtime. Fanzone just records now, not live music

what i thought might be nice is a balance between the music they normally play and some tracks from up and coming bands to promote Shropshire based bands and singers plus the live music from the fanzone

Don't really think this is the club's responsibility to be honest. When people are in the ground they want to hear songs that they recognise and get them in the mood for the game. Songs they associate with going to the football. Throwing in music that no-one knows would largely be counter intuitive to the pre-match build up in my opinion.
Plus our sound system isn't going to do budding musicians any favours!

Plus the club seem to have much better relations with the press and radio, and they with each other, at the moment.

lets face it, even when devoted fans go to concerts of their heros, the last thing they want to hear is new music change that to fans who are not there for the music then its a no go
my only idea in favour of your idea would be at say 2:45 we play a 2 minute edit of 1 local track anyone can put up with that, and might even listen

I don't mind borrowing Ryan's mic and giving a rendition of "Close The Shutter's Willie's Dead". Whenever a give a warbling performance of it, people get so emotional, that they leave the room.

I suspect whoever arranges the tracks may be a Morrisey/Smiths fan?!

I love The Smiths as much as the next man, but I'm not sure that trendy indie music is an appropriate selection for the build-up to a football match.
Please let us hear tracks which are synonymous with the game itself - Going Home, Tom Hark, Liquidator etc.
And woe betide anyone who attempts to chisel CUIYC from the set list.
