Don’t want Milton Keynes to stay up for obvious reasons, but Walsall edge ever closer to the drop, what a dilemma.

So its back over to you guys.
Bradford were truly awful and 2-0 flattered them. We were without Graham and Mulgrew which had me worried tbh as they were two of our 'three' top goalscorers. Mulgrew played for Scotland on Tuesday so resting him was the sensible thing to do given our congested fixtures coming up.
We could have played any back four though against that lot and they still would not have threatened so we did not really miss Mulgrew all that much. Graham was the bigger loss as Samuel up front again showed nothing of note.
Bringing Payne on from the bench and putting Armstrong up front was the key for us. Was relieved to get the result and once the first went in there was never any doubt.
Gillingham losing was also a good result as I feel it pretty much ends their dreams of a playoff place.

It still blows my mind that we’re competing with a team who can say the names Graham, Mulgrew, Payne, Armstrong etc, it’s mental.
Hope we can perform today as I haven’t seen us win on the road this season, despite our away form!

On the other hand, MKD winning might concentrate their minds when playing their next match on Easter Monday. Now who is that against? The Rochdale game this afternoon is massive. If we fail to get a win we are likely to drop to 3rd as Wigan are pretty certain to get 3 points. However, they kick off at 1, so we'll have the advantage of knowing what the table looks like before we take the field.

Payne and Armstrong just loans but would love if we could somehow sign them permanently next season or at least get them back here on loan. Graham was a regular premier league starter just a couple of years ago and has been an excellent signing for us. Mulgrew is our captain fantastic, dead ball specialist and can pretty much play anywhere. He is usually a bit injury-prone though (was why we were able to get him in the first place) but he has amazingly only missed a couple of games through injury this year so far. Anyhow, best of luck (not) for todays game lol. Think you will have to much for them to be honest but a draw would be nice.

I hope Gillingham have put in a sell on clause because they were mugged re the original transfer fee.

The Gils was the one that worries the most over the two so a bit happier they lost.

Yup there were rumours during the window of championship clubs offering us 3 mil for him - not a bad return for 6 months but would have been madness to let him go. Seriously think that if we get up and he shows he can perform to a similar level in the Championship - he will go for at least double that.

Can't see Blackburn dropping many points in these last 8 games. The title is theirs to lose. Weve just got to stick in there & try to remain unbeaten in these last 8 games. What will be will be.

PH undoubtedly will continue to be on bigger clubs radar, he has been linked with several over the season already. Just hope he can finish the job off here this season first.

Just dropped in to the BRFCS board to see what they made of last night, and what an absolute hoot - you would not believe the amount of vicious bile spat amongst some of their fans, and I can understand why we get the occasional visit from Rovers fans; in comparison, B&A is like a WI meeting! I hope that the manifest togetherness and team spirit shown on BRFCS gets reflected in their team's future games, but I doubt that....Rovers have more than enough individual talent to call on to swing games. As a TEAM we are a match for them and Wigan, but in one-off games like the play-offs, I'm not convinced that we have the spark and fire-power to prevail, which is why we must keep the pressure on - one or other of them may crack, optimistic though that may appear. OBVIOUSLY, 3 POINTS TODAY is an absolute must!

Blackburn took their time last night but they really do look as though they're simply not for stopping. And now Wigan one up.

If mondays games get postponed then they'll have an even longer backlog. They're virtually playing Sat,Tues,Sat till the end of April. That's gotta take its toll. Blackburn just look unstoppable at the moment which is why I can't see any further than them winning the league.

They just dont seem to be slowing down and are still getting the results. They are a net 4 points better off than us (should they win their game in hand) and have a superior GD, so it would mean we need to hope they lose two of their remaining games with us winning all of ours. Quite possible but even though we are on a great run, I am pretty sure we will still drop points. ZThis season is not over by a long stretch yet and there will be more twists im sure. I just think our strength in depth is proving to be key. We had two of our best players out in the last game and still could not find a place for Jack Payne and had him coming off the bench.

That was plain to see on Thurs night. All your substitutions had an impact on the game. That shows the quality in the squad. Jack Payne would have teams built around him if he was playing for other clubs in this division. You've played the best football in the division so that's why I hope u win the league. I think I'm right in saying you're on your best run of form since winning the premier league so the team is obviously doing something right. Yesterday for us highlighted how small our squad is. Players who were out were clearly missed ( hard for any team to play well when it's spine is missing) & the players who came in were definitely undercooked fitness wise. Seeing one of your teammates stretchered off in a kneck brace will effect players as well. A bad day all round for us yesterday. The ref seemed very inexperienced & unfit as well but if as a team you're playing well then you should take poor officiating out of the equation. I'm interested to see the psychological damage yesterday will have on our team. They've got to dust themselves down pretty quickly & go again on Monday with new personal in the starting 11 again. If we do finish 3rd then it's still been an unbelievable season for us though we do need to keep that momentum going.

Walsall 0-1 Portsmouth.(FT). That serves them right for losing to both Blackburn and Wigan recently. With Rochdale and Oldham both having 2 games in hand on them, they must be getting worried. Bury look doomed. Northampton seem to be on the slide. The other 2 slots are up for grabs. It looks like those points we dropped at Northampton could prove crucial, yet we were playing a very poor side. They've lost 4 and drawn 2 of their last 6 home games. And 2 of those losses have been 0-3 and 0-4.

Absolutely, big respect for how you guys have managed to be right in the thick of automatic promotion. You have an excellent manager on your hands and I think he will go on to have a great career. If he can perform like this on a shoestring, imagine what he could do with a bigger budget. Hope to see him with you guys in the Championship next season - along with us of course.
