Have STITC made a donation yet? As a Trustee, but speaking personally, I don't think STitC will be making a donation. The money raised by the charity is generally used to support its programmes, not to give to non- charitable causes. Hope that clarifies a little.

I see there has been a boost to the total, I assume that it is via ones of the corporate packages

Yep a long way to go! Feel sorry for the guys who tried to get this going but would seem for whatever reason our fans aren't backing it. I bet they are wondering why they bother.

Although I'm probably never going to use it I've done my bit.
Maybe when preseason friendlies are on or international games?

May upset a few fans saying this but i think safe standing will be a waste of money and will make the atmosphere worse. As a south stander i think the atmosphere in the ground is fantastic, especially since the paul hurst arrival. Block 18 and 19 is well populated generating a fantastic atmosphere. The south stand along with other blocks in the west stand and family stand also join in creating an atmosphere which can easily silence the away end. Why would we want to separate the engine room (block 18 and 19) who already stand anyway, into the south stand and west. You need all your hardcore singers together not separated, separating these fans will genarate a more amateur sound.

Does the campaign end 6pm tomorrow then? It's says 23 hours to go.
Also didn't see any buckets on Saturday.

I don't think there were any plans to get the buckets out for a second time, it was hard enough against Rochdale to be honest! All in all this campaign feels bittersweet, a decent amount raised in 6 weeks but I think it's fair to say that more STFC supporters seem to be against 'safe standing' than those who are for it I'm glad I done my bit to help though.

At least safe standing is coming.
Might not be as long the South stand as far as we hoped but be some after the amount we raised.

Pro rata that equates to 345 safe standing seats? Anyone confirm that?

Would be nice to know who has won previous raffles etc. Missing out on publicity opportunity by not doing it

Now that the deadline has been extended (with no new cut off date) it does beg the question, will there be a re launch of this campaign? There is a danger that this campaign could just drift along with no real impetus to reach the target figure.
I would be interested to know how Tifosy plan to take this campaign forward.

It strikes me that a huge amount has been raised in such a short time, given the size of our fanbase. Not at all sure where we go from here with this.

Still think it's pretty ludicrous that the PR around this happened way before the funding page opened.
We were on the front page of BBC sport and guardian sport (and probably others) but there was no immediate link available for people to click to take them through to give money. 1000s of hits on these news pages will have been wasted- in the modern world news only lasts a day or less before people are distracted by something else. The funding page should have been up and ready to go behind the scenes for when the story broke. But instead many potential supporters from across the football spectrum will have been lost.
Who's fault was it that that was not the case?

The latest update is hidden away on the BBC sport site... www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-shropshire-41239164Like you say there is no link to the fundraising site.

I think there's a bit too much doom and gloom surrounding this. Was the fundraiser essentially too optimistic? Yes. Have Tifosy fulfilled their end of the campaign? No.
But.. it's still happening, something which would have been impossible a year ago. It doesn't matter whether it takes 6 months or a year to fund it - what matters is that this is an unprecedented step in the right direction for English football and your club is at the centre of it.

I think it does matter how long it takes and to me it's been too long already. Surely the club can stump up the rest of the money and then think about the great publicity we could have if we get the standing put in quickly.
If we let it it run and run we may get beaten to it by another club to be the first inEngland/ Wales and the longer it drags on the less likely we are to get good publicity

The fact that a question remains unanswered on the campaign website about an extension of the fundraising / rewards cut offs is disappointing. If I had not been signposted to the Shropshire Star article I would've not have been any wiser.
I have actually stopped trying to promote this to non town fans due to not getting responses to questions raised and lack of support materials. This includes suggestions to Tifosy themselves.
I believe that they may have underestimated the amount of work they needed to get their commission. They have therefore commited resources elsewhere e.g. the larger bond issues and also their own campaign for investment - something which will fail if they do not up their game in regards visibly delivering support to all campaigns

Good to see that they are highlighting landmarks ...i.e. 800 up. I hope that they are not just using Twitter but other forms of media as well.
