Mellon sounds like he's off after that radio shropshire interview. Very much sounded like a thanks for the support, all the best and good luck IMO.

It may not have been a great season, especially for home fans, but this is an achievement! Northampton and others will be celebrating wildly because they've got to start on the same number of points as us in August! Such an odd season as we were always in the relegation scr@p but strangely never fully somehow. There was no Dunkirk spirit bit so now it feels very flat.
I think with the ups, downs and playoff chases of the last 10 years or so we're not used to reflecting on poor but not awful seasons like this one. And I don't by the idea Crewe and Wigan saved us, the season isn't one weekend in April.

Let's face it.
Crewe, Colchester, Doncaster and Blackpool have all been dire this season.
Crewe and Colchester only just escaped relegation last season, Doncaster had that unbelievable run of 16 games without a win, and the Blackpool fans and the Oystons have been at war all season.
So who are going to be as bad as these 4 next season? Accrington might struggle, as I believe they are losing some key players, and I suppose Fleetwood, Oldham and Chesterfield might be in the mix.

Thanks. Obviously with losing trips to Crewe, Blackpool and Burton, I am hoping we still have you to keep us company. I would be more than happy to see the back of those delightful Covkernees from Millwall.

Thank you . I wish you well in your promotion challenge Mind you I wish you well for selfish reasons too. The thought of your caravans parked up outside our new Lidl is too much to contemplate . Might be ok in Walsall , Dudley and Oldbury but not in refined Shrewsbury . We have enough trouble trying to get the Upper Wummers to change their underwear before travelling down from the hills to see the Town.

Our away form saved us. Just think, if only we could've won say, five more games at home, we'd be safely mid table.

We've had enough chances to gain promotion but blew it, especially while o'dismal was here. Really hope we finish 3rd as I do not fancy our chances Swainsthorpe Millwall or Bradford over 2 legs.
