Seems to me the club have been answer all the easy questions last couple of day, this is clearly a bigger problem... I checked and several people had also asked on there today with no response. While I'm on, can anyone access the online club shop? Yes unfortunately I can access it, why I'd want to I don't know, just a load of cheap looking tat in there, including blue and yellow(whats that all about) wigs.

Where as I think lots of the time people are very quick to complain about the club I think that for once both the fans and the club will be united in being frustrated by ticketdisaster.
The club has signed up to a premier rate service and are getting served up with a second rate system which is costing it big time - financially for the service and lost sales, but even worse in good will, reputation and probably current and future fans.
On paper this was a great coup, a move to a simple way to get ticket's, for exiles and locals but it obviously is not working. I think that ticketdisaster should openly apologise and let's us know that things will improve. People complain about the ticket office staff not always being joyful- but this is worse since all we are dealing with is online service which should be smooth and efficient.
To put this into context it is not only the exiles who have to work out how to get tickets but also locals - locals who do not usually have to jump through hoops to get tickets, locals who may now be asking why bother making a 30 mile round trip to the ground in work hours or when they should be picking up the kids etc
In the past we have had to stand in the wind and rain to get tickets but we expected that and we felt joy in our heart when they were being handed over (while the rest of our bidy suffered from frostbite) - all we get now is increased blood pressure while staring at a screen in hope, no feel of a ticket in our hand but instead a booking fee and only B&A and Shrewschat to vent our trials and tribulations with (it certainly was mode fun sharing woes with real people)
I am sure that the club will be back g second thoughts about using big suppliers again
Here end my essay

Hopefully the new CEO will have an opinion on ticketmaster and its suitability both for the customer and the staff. I suspect that we are just not a big enough organisation for them to worry about. It's all very sad to be honest and I hope it is up and running tomorrow. If not the club should at the very least cancel the contract as not fit for purpose.

It is charged per transaction online .... if it ever lets anyone buy the b*****y tickets!!!

Always thought it was a bit odd that Matt Williams was hailing Ticketmaster as a great system
Music punters and venues have been slagging it off for years for slow online speeds, poor customer service and overly expensive for purchases and the venue. Many small music venues stopped using it years ago and its reputation is poor. Bit of research before signing up to it would have revealed that

Where as our recruitment process has actually failed. We introduce a system that does work, but needs management in that position. My opinion is that ticket office is the most important position with the club / public interaction, 2nd to that as the first team manager.
Greg was very accomplished with Ticketmaster, but decided to leave. Has the recruitment of replacement been fully explored and what experience has that person had experience of the system, or was it just filled with a " job for the boys" attitude?

Skiddle provides quite a good service for small gigs at not too big a cost to the promoter but they don't offer a particularly integrated system
The best systems are ones that are integrated with the wider marketing and commercial databases that a venue runs, so as well as selling tickets can also run mailing lists; subscriptions etc. Those systems can also use QI and bar codes on mobiles for ticketing but don't come cheap
Others are more focused on being able to deliver high volumes of sales in a short period - ie for big festivals or gigs, where the back up technology is what you pay for.
That's what's a bit odd about the Town ticket master system as nationally they can cope with tens of thousands of transactions on the site, yet our sales seem to take an age to go through
Downies point is a good one as a lot also depends on how much of the techi stuff is done in house by the ticketing company, and how much I'd done by the client. The more the client does the easier it is to tweak and alter things. If you don't have that it is upto the host company to do that and it can be an extra cost

Had to ring club this morning and spoke to someone who went to ticket office and they eventually called me back and we managed to get tickets sorted out for 2 people with 20+ and 1 with 19!! I stressed to them what the problem with the system was so hopefully they manage to sort it.

I've been told i have to move as my seat is where a camera is going, does this mean I can be dumped in any seat? I have this problem when we are on tv and it always goes as below When I buy my ticket I ask whether the seat is actually available because cameras are usually there, I am assured my seat is available and there wont be any cameras there. Around a week later I am contacted by the club telling me my seat is not available because the cameras will be there, I am told that I will have to have one elsewhere but most of the seats are now taken so I have a random one on my own away from friends. I then turn up at the game to find out that my seat was covered by a bit of netting but has already been removed so I end up sitting/standing in my usual place afterall. So far I haven't heard anything from the club so expecting a phone call on Friday when they go on general sale and there's hardly any other availability From memory I had an argument with Greg for the Chelsea game because he said I needed a new ticket but wouldnt be able to give it to me until I had been to the club to return the ticket I had already purchased. I said I couldnt due to work and felt that the club was to blame for selling me the ticket in the first place so why should I have to put myself out, in the end I just used the ticket they sold me in the first place.

Thanks for this, I might just do that as well. They've left me messages to ring which I have but got no answer. The problem is now the tickets have gone out to loyalty point holders I'll have less choice of seats, I don't want to end up on the front row.

Another case of ticket disaster. Friend at work has 15 loyalty points log on today and system says no can do!!! Assume as this is open to 10 loyalty points supporters, we have same problem as the system can only do one thing at a time. i.e ignore those with more or less than 10 loyalty points. other tells me is Must be a man system that cant multi task!!

Well my prediction was slightly out, had the message today advising my ticket is no longer available despite being assured it would previously. Got to love the fact I get the message the day my ticket arrived at my house (10 days after I purchased it)

Arrived early today - 2nd in the queue. Ticket office opened early (0845) by Sue and excellent service, leaving promptly with tickets in my hand. Always to to GM for my tickets as I do not like the Ticketmaster system at all.

I've never worn a tutu to get my tickets at the GM, but I'll try it if I get good service.

Used Ticketmaster for several games this season. Never had a problem with it until today. Seems the additional stipulations and requirements may have caused a few problems. The problems seemed to be resolved fairly quickly and I was able to buy online by mid-morning.
Also had a query regarding the transfer of Loyalty points and received a very courteous call from Jordan Bebb who sorted everything out in a few minutes.
Impressed.

Didn't help as ticket disaster were selling Beyoncé tickets for the etihad this week too . I'm not boring everyone with the bollox I've endured buying a ticket for my son with 7 points but has been like the krypton factor crossed with climbing Everest in yer pants awful service. Also Town advice line not working on tmobile and young lad on reception hadn't a clue and gave wrong number three times.

I hope you got sorted out.
I expect Ticketmaster will move on to selling tickets to people with minus 5 points next.
