Every time loyalty points come into play we have the same discussion about what points should from what scheme someone is a member of plus points from match tickets.
When they announce the ticket arrangement the club need to nail down the exact number of points needed to buy the Man United tickets otherwise they will be flooded with questions on here, on email and on social media.

My Sheffield Wednesday point has not been added. Will send an email - which address is the one people are now using for the ticket office? No loyalty point for Sheffield Wednesday on my account either. I asked the question at the ticket office yesterday when I bought my Southend ticket and the lady wasn't sure if cup games counted. She tried phoning someone but couldn't get an answer. I've not been to any previous rounds so don't know if that's true or not. That can't be right surely? News to me and would not be impressed. They have always been before and I have points from Gainsborough and Cardiff on my account plus Blackburn and Palace in League Cup. I'm waiting for a response to my email this morning regarding Sheff Weds and why I have been deducted 2 points this morning!

Good point! Get the message right first time not have 2-3 goes at it whilst deciding on the policy, and make sure everyone knows the policy and sticks to it Wonder if the club will get some temporary office support in for the next few weeks as clearly the ticket office and general enquires to the club are going to be much much higher such as media enquires, merchandising and sponsorship

Biggest demand on the club for a long time, bigger than Chelsea. Not always easy to get it right straightaway but they need to try and provide answer to frequently asked questions as soon as possible.
Run some of the questions past the Supporter' parliament (user testing in my book) to see if they've missed any obvious questions before it is published online.

Just been to buy a fleetwood away ticket and despite giving my supporter number was told away games give no loyalty points anymore yet tonight's home game is worth 2 . She said there's Manchester United fans trying to buy tickets in the home end for the Shrewsbury game therefore no loyalty points are awarded for upcoming away games . Make of that what you want .

No mention of Sheff Wed or Grimsby tickets which I bought online

Just bought Fleetwood tickets this morning and no one at the ticket office mentioned that you would not receive any loyalty points for this, just checked account no points for Fleetwood and now appears that they have rather generously manually deleted 2 more off my loyalty points. Thanks for that so looks like deleted Blackpool so no loyalty points for 2 away trips and double for tonight way too look after your loyal fans!

If this is true its mental and you wonder whats going on at the ticket office at the moment...
Can someone clearly set out whats going on with the system at the moment so the SP can feed this back on behalf of everyone having points deducted?

Surely if anyone with a previous purchase history buys tickets for these games loyalty points should be awarded?

I don't think the number of points will end up being that important. So long as you have an account and have accumulated some points I don't imagine you'll have too much difficulty getting a ticket.
Have we had more than 8000 distinct Salop supporters (with a supporter number) attending games this season who have bought tickets through the club? It would be an interesting stat to know and one that the club would have. I expect it's close but I'd guess that the answer will be no. In which case, provided it's one ticket per supporter number you won't have any issues.

They harp on about loyalty points tonight whilst sneakily taking them off you or not rightly applying them, no communication to say this. So travel away to Fleetwood and Blackpool at great expense especially ticket prices and get 0 points pop down for your 1st game of the season tonight and get 2 points, and they call this loyalty!!!

What stops them buying home tickets and getting loyalty points especially as the club are blatantly advertising the fact you can get 2 points for tonights game

Seems bizarre to stop loyalty points for away games and dish them out for home games . Don't see what all the panic is about myself . Let's face it if your on the database and been to a game over the last 6 months your going to get a ticket for man united ,

Update.
I have just received a reply to this mornings email (surprising quick).
It says no points are being awarded for cup games and asked for my supporter number so they could review my account. Having read posts on here I know it will be because I had purchased a Fleetwood ticket a couple of weeks ago but I played dumb in my response so will wait for that to be confirmed in writing.
I also added this to the email ...
"Is this a change in policy regarding points for cup games? No announcements have been made and points have been awarded for all cup games this season and every season since we introduced the loyalty points system when we moved to GM in 2007.
It seems ironic there are no loyalty points for people who were bothered to go though the rigmarole to get tickets on Saturday and double points are awarded for tonight's game so people can buy a ticket online for the points with no intention of turning up!"
I await a reply with batted breath!

Gives an awful first impression to many people, the ticket office window would be where the main dealings with the club happen. A face that could turn milk.

I fear they are making up the rules as they go along instead of sticking to the Chelsea model and the case for Sheffield Wednesday when all booking history before the draw was made was taken into account.
The announcement of double points for Southend after the draw has been made is a farce and defies previous logic.
I should have 11 points, yesterday I checked and had 10 as no point for Sheff Wed was added. I queried this in an email and this morning my account had a manual adjustment to 9 with no explanation. I have 2 daughters who have accounts that I control, they still have 10 points and yet they have been to the same games as I have.
What should be an exciting time to be a Shrewsbury supporter is turning into a stressful one due to a simple lack of communication as to what the Loyalty points policy actually is and why changes to accounts are being made.

Does seem like the club have basically invented a new set of rules which means that the people desperate to get loyalty points for the Man U game get them for paying STFC not for the games where other clubs would have got the money (away games)
Seems like a money grab to me, and with little thought, communication or tact
Or am i being cynical!

absolute shambles!!
I have my Colchester away points still in my account from the ticket I bought two weeks ago but my Fleetwood and Blackpool points have been deducted despite being in there yesterday. No update or e-mail from the club explaining what the heck is going on.
Just bought a Southend ticket just for the points even though I am in Suffolk right now, and unlikely to be able to get back to the match tonight. I have it as an e-ticket to print at home so PM me with an e-mail address if anyone is interested in it, and if I can't make it back, I'll ping it over, first come fist served.
