Seen a few videos doing the rounds and from what I've seen it was Sheff Utd fans attacking the police trying to get to Vale fans. Not suggesting Vale are completely innocent but certainly wasn't one way

Stoke fans causing problems in Birmingham yesterday as well. never had a problem in the Wellington before and we were out of the way in a side room but a fire extinguisher set off, plenty of broken glass and a barmaid apparently assaulted. Lots of police about and soon on the spot

I remember when we played AFC Telford back in the SSC, I think 2008 or 2009. I sat with my friends in the Telford end and when I left after the match I had to dodge rocks and stones being launched at me from Shrewsbury fans... Every club has their idiots, unfortunately football has not moved on entirely from its macho-tribal culture.

Yes I remember standing on what was the away end at the Ducks Shed and being bombarded with rocks and brick ends coming over from outside in the car park. I also remember leaving said car park and being stoned by some of the local urchins. No doubt if I had got out and laid a finger on them, I would have been done for assault. Horrible place.

Blimey whenever I've been there in the past travelling supporters of whoever are playing in the West Midlands that day always seem to happily mix with each other, even the Cardiff fans I've met in there were good lads

I should have mentioned the appalling behaviour from the Telford fans too. I went to school with a few of the idiots that tried to get into our end on the game you mention there. Such a shame that this kind of thing exists in football still.

Lots of police about and soon on the spot Thanks to the power of Facebook, I've seen a video which I believe is in the beer garden of the Wellington. A load of Stoke fans are singing and a barmaid appears who then sets it off and sprays the Stoke fans. The video obviously doesn't show what happened before/after but there's no assaulting of the barmaid and no trouble in it other than rowdy football fans in a beer garden

As I s aid we were in another room but a young lad who wasn't a football fan came in covered in foam after going to the bar. We were told the barmaid was collecting glasses and was "touched" inappropriately or words to that effect. Still very unusual to find a problem at the Wellington but I suppose we have all known times when fans have been blamed unfairly
