Great , what an absolutely smashing Saturday , Town get shafted and England get thumped by a bunch of convicts . Now I know how a Tinpot United supporter feels week after week.

Outclassed Aussies knew what England were doing before England did. England overrated just like the football team. They have struggled in all 3 games

It's the World Cup and so I have watched a couple of games. It's a shame that our country are out as the hosts but tbh I felt nothing after the game and perhaps realised that I don't like rugby very much...

I blame Matt Sandler for England's Rugby World Cup exit.
I also think that if he was on Strictly he'd be out first.

Well the weekend has been very wrong Town easily beaten 3-0 at Coventry, England fail at their own egg chasing tournament and now Ola exits this series of Strictly!

I watched it in Oxford.
Watching England going out of the Rugby World Cup they were hosting, in a pub alongside the type of people from Oxford who go out to the pub to see England play rugby, was one of the finest experIences of my life.

Gotta love the RFU. Discussing the policy of only selecting players playing in England they still (despite what's happened) believe it to be the correct policy. I'd love to know what they are basing that on. And I thought the FA were bad.
Horrible day. Kickers given a good shoeing at home against a village side, Town get battered and then out of the rugger world cup. Rum.

An awful lot of rugby league supporters share that perspective. The sight of Prince Harry cheering on England made me support Australia even more than I was already. It's not personal and a bit irrational but seeing the establishment getting passionate about the establishment sport - if it had been polo, I'd have wanted the horses to throw their riders. I'd never gloat though and the funny thing is I'm not that bothered now. I'd like to see Wales or Ireland win, failing which any team that scores plenty of tries of the quality of Australia's on Saturday.

I was in Wales yesterday and the locals were very keen to speak to someone with an English accent.
Fortunately I was able to exploit my Irish heritage.

You sad individual! Prince harry is English why shouldn't he cheer on England, the monarchy has nothing to do it! You don't hear any Scots or Welsh with that attitude, but they are all part of the establishment which is the UK Get over yourself!

Just being honest about my reaction to seeing it, not trying to start a revolution. Blame the media for invading his privacy. And what makes you so sure there are no Welsh feeling the same about Prince William? You wouldn't have known there were any English if I hadn't said so on here. The establishment certainly isn't the UK (as far as I'm concerned). It's just the over-entitled bit at the top that has too much influence in our public life. Anyway it's definitely not me that's sad, I'm cheerful - England got a thorough whumping! I've got nothing to get over!

Watching England going out of the Rugby World Cup they were hosting, in a pub alongside the type of people from Oxford who go out to the pub to see England play rugby, was one of the finest experIences of my life. One of the most horrendous experiences of my life was to be present in a Rugby Club bar on a Saturday afternoon after a match. Puerile, asinine, juvenile louts braying at the top of their voices. And about as funny as the Black Death. Totally impervious as to the presence of individuals who might not be quite so enthusiastic as to their infantile behaviour as the others in their group.
