Who is to say they will in the longer term.
Bury are playing a dangerous game.
JLH will go on to better things and the Burton chairman admitted spending a bit of money last year. Is that sustainable?
Southend are similar to us at the moment and we've already beaten them.
Relax.
And before you say I wasn't there, I've seen my fair share of utter, utter e over the years.
Head up mon.

Burton are doing unbelievably well with certainly no higher a budget than ours.
I accept that Bury may be living beyond their means, but in Clarke and Pope they have an excellent pair of strikers.
And Southend seem to be improving.
We on the other hand seem to be getting worse. Our two best players sold, defence leaking goals, chance after chance missed and MM not seeming to have the slightest idea what his best team and formation is. Dropping Ellis today is beyond belief.

why are 5 teams who played at a higher level than us last season doing worse than us? I'd say the top of league 2 is better than the bottom of league 1. Look how well the teams promoted to L1 did last season. I'd hope a team promoted 2nd in the league would be higher than six from the bottom (although early days still)? But I sure hope there are 4 teams who played at a higher level than us last season, doing worse than us come May

My frustration is that we appear to be back in the same position we were a couple of years ago, having dragged ourselves back up again. The manager has clearly underestimated the quality required and now if we want to bring in fresh players at, say, left back we are relying on loanees. We've been here before. It's early days but the squad looks mediocre and lacking in confidence and I can't really see anything other than a relegation fight. In addition there are, arguably, a number of teams of similar size to ourselves who are either performing well this season(Burton) or have become established League 1 clubs (Colchester, Oldham, Walsall, Gillingham). Where do we go from here??
