www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/34390962How glad are we that the rumours were not true ? Will be interesting to see if he does turn the corner; I cannot imagine that anybody else will give him a "second" chance.

Was amazed that Blackpool kept him on - cannot see anyone else taking the gamble - even Mickey.

The lad had talent let's be honest but he is a total t**t. He's been given multiple chances and messed them up which is a shame. I do really hope he sorts himself out and comes out a better person. Personally if I was him I leave the country and start again as in England he won't be able to as he'll always have this tag. I'll go somewhere he's not known have a few tryouts and find a club and just play football and let that do the talking he's still only 24 and he can get his career back on track. Let's be honest if he goes for arguments sake Sweden gets his nut down scores goals gets a good reputation and then returns and carries on his past will be put aside. There's been bigger t**ts in football than him

He's fortunate to play a sport that allows anyone to play again, no matter what crime they have committed. If he proves himself again and puts the effort in then fair play to him. It must be crazy coming from nothing to being paid ridiculous money and being a professional footballer.

Pool fan here. Nile has been treated appallingly by our chairman. Reportedly on a paultry £90 p/w basic wage, he is reliant on the heavily incentivised contract that pays him per minute on the pitch and goal scored. We had a situation last season whereby there was a disagreement over who was going to take a penalty (which Nile won). Once frozen out however his option for another year should never have been taken up. The reason it was: spite and vindictiveness from king dong at the helm. Whatever he has done in the past, the man is entitled to earn a living either with us or elsewhere. We now have a situation where Nile has had the PFA involved who have insisted he is entitled to use club facilities to stay fit, something the current manager is dead against as he doesn't want Nile's disruptive influence around the rest of the squad (fair enough). But does Oyston at this point release NR? No, his pettiness and small-minded point scoring takes priority so NMcD is now not happy.
Sorry for the rant guys but the problems at our gaff begin and end with one man (or family) and it isn't Ranger. Good luck for the rest of the season- have always had a soft spot for Shrewsbury after missing two (yes two) trains to Aberystwyth and having to spend a whole day there as a teenager. Have also been to a few shrewsburyfieldsforever, PGL and stag dos in the town and have always had a good time. UTP OO

UTP OO It always seems a shame when someone who has the ability to play football is frozen out. I've never understood big players, like Adebayor who are willing to take money and not play the game. As I stated above, if he puts the effort in then fair play to him. Hope your club sorts itself out. Must be so frustrating.

As of yesterday, another fan has to pay the Oystons for comments made on messageboards like this. Bad times.

That £20K KO was awarded by the fans who made the comments, how are the fans expected to cough up that much cash?!

If Ranger is 20 stone or over, I hope we give him a chance, after losing 2 stone on the Channel 4 programme, Embarrassing Bodies.

Harsh. Hasn't set the world on fire but also hardly had a chance. He's s**t. MM made a slight mistake when he signed him...... He thought he was signing Darius! 35 year old retired has been..... Darius would have fitted in well here....
