If it's true that he's having his contract canceled and is back off to Scotland. maybe we will bring someone else in to replace him?
If so what do we need?
Personally I'd be looking to get someone to add a turn of pace to the midfield.

Odd if true, didn't he move south for family reasons? What gave you heard?

Someone on Radio Shropshire said that neither Woods would be here by next weekend. Wasn't you was it onthepitch?

Martin off back to Scotland.
Offer for Ryan of £400k was rejected, been told to come back with £1m.

If this is true, I find it amazing, as according to MM at the time we signed Woods, he had been our number 1 target.
What's changed?

Very strange given that we'll be most likely in the market for a midfielder very soon. A Lanarkshire lad like myself but his recent 5 month stint in the highlands with Ross Co aside, he's been based in England since his Academy days. Made the decision to move back down south just a few months ago so electing to move back to Scotland seems very unlikely. Of course there could be personal issues to consider....

So much for MM's policy of analysing potential new recruits regarding the right DNA for salop.
Appreciate circumstances change in life but if this is true very poor and Slightly farcical. Wonder if it could be second album syndrome as far a MM is concerned, all in all not at all promising for the season.

He's hardly set the world alight yet (admittedly after v few games) so if it isn't working for him then better we free up a wage now than gave this drag on.

Pressure starting to build?

No he did have a go at the crowd in the first half. He was looking behind him so presumably someone in the posh seats!!!
There doesn't seem to have been much emphasis on the right DNA and/ or team spirit this season and I for one am concerned about this. It's almost like we had a fixed target last season and we made it .... Now we'll just coast along, disregard players who were good enough last season even against Premier opposition and bring in some others who, so far, haven't cut the mustard for me.
I'm not panicking, I can't be bothered, but I am feeling very down.

Similar to what I was told Martin has had domestic problems and his paying his way out of his contract Ryan bid was supposedly laughed at And the other bit of news was Harry Lewis is to be sold to Southampton

Rather than DNA or MM's negligence, if this is true, it's just bad luck, similar to Robinson last season. In glimpses, Woods has shown that he could be a very decent player for us.

People saying he's unsettled here and wanting a move up North and that while here he's been disappointed with our handling of the 'unwanted two'. pub talk - could (probably is) be just a load of nonsense

If you took something substandard back to the shop and the assistant started to shout at you and tell you to "Shut up", you probably wouldn't be best pleased. You could see the frustration building in Mickey as the game wore on, but shouting at supporters is totally unprofessional. I can't believe any Juan is defending it. Had that been Rob Smith who did it, posters would be laughing their yeds off and calling him a clown.
Having said that, calls for Mickey's sacking are just very silly. They should "shut up".

shame i liked the look of him when I saw him but it will free up wages to bring in a more creative midfielder.

For anyone to suggest that Rolland's made the same mistake as when he persuaded GT to come back by employing a manager who was more than capable of getting to league 1 but couldn't compete at that higher level really doesn't trust our chairmans choice of senior personale.... hang on a minute who suggested that ?

To be honest he's not alone. IMHO It doesn't send a good message to the rest of the players. Depends what message you're trying to send, could argue it says "we're always trying to improve, no one is guaranteed a place etc". Let's be honest, if it was just Vernon and Caton there'd be none of this moral hand wringing, it would be thanks, but ship em out. But cos MD seems an odd choice to move out people are mixing their arguments to suit. In the hard skinned world of footy I'd have thought most players accept plenty of things we 9-5ers would be horrified by. Few players can be shocked than MM wants SV off the books after last year, and while some probably feel for MD I don't suppose any are losing much sleep.
