Bristol City looking like they are paying 700k for Gillingham's Bradley Dack a goalscoring midfielder, think we wont get as much sadly Yeah, but we know goals aren't part of Woods' game. Nobody would buy him for that, just as you wouldn't buy a Matic or a Henderson for their goals. That doesn't necessarily make them less valuable than another midfielder who scores more often. In today's inflated market, Woods is surely worth more than £6-700k. And if he isn't I'd want a damn sight more than 10% as the sell on percentage.

Just hope we don't just accept an offer to get the deal done by the end of the transfere window to boost the coffers. Mustn't forget though Ryan has a say in where he goes so would have to be right for both parties but don't want any, we had to accept cos it was best for his career. Yes in the end the club will do whats best for both but another 4 months playing for us can only do him good and if we can only get £600k now I can't see 4 months less on his contract affecting that. Clubs don't dither if the want someone look at Man U with Pedro or whatever his name is...

I understand the main stumbling block, is that Brentford have offered £600.000, but we won't accept a penny over £400.000

Looking at Goldsons move to Brighton is Brentford that attractive? Brentford have an odd system with a coach but players signed by two football directors, and a strange stats based approach to coaching and recruitment. The coach has also said UK based players are too expensive and not worth the money. Theyre getting a shiney new stadium but I think Brighton have more potential. Can be do better and will he wait?

Really hope Ryan doesn't pull out of tomorrow's game with a pesky hamstring injury.

I've seen him described as 'the ginger Messi', I think he's more like a ginger Paul Scholes.

In my opinion Ryan Woods is strawberry blonde. In my opinion I have never seen a blond strawberry. You may be mixing it up with a Cape Gooseberry.

So... Ryan is playing today. I wouldn't have thought they would risk a possibility of injury if there was a £1million deal being done.

MM said he hadn't had a single phone call about Ryan, and only expected "bits and pieces" in the transfer window.
That's it then, Ryan's gone.

Micky's words were "I haven't had a single phone call". Says I haven't, could Roland or MW then?

Am I the only one who think Woods to West Ham is a ridiculous idea. He is nowhere near that level. Brentford is a possibility but he would have to add more pace and creativity to his current game.

You better call WHU and tell them that. The only club to have put an offer on the table. They were also sniffing around Tom Bradshaw at one point. By all accounts one of their scouts reckoned that young Tom had all the attributes to make an excellent striker.

Its funny though that a thread about Ryan somehow ends up mentioning Tommy Teapot as Kuffdam calls him. Useless or not I wish we had someone like him now , a player who can put the ball in the net . Never mind , at least we will end up with about 20 defenders . Looks like as long as we don't score we are going to make sure the opposition don't either . We can look forward to loads of thrilling 0-0 draws this season then.
