Teams we could draw are -
Accrington Bury Carlisle Morecambe Oldham Port Vale Walsall
So that's Carlisle away on a wet Tuesday evening then.

Morecambe would be preferable.
Personally I really hope we take this competition seriously this year and give it a real go to put a trophy in the cabinet, it certainly is winnable. Given our status and league I think it would be worthwhile putting more resources into this cup than we previously have and it could give us the opportunity to break to voodoo around Wembley.

Don't think our record has been to good in this comp of recent years has it? Can't record being past the 2nd round since the Brighton semi in 08/09. Have the same view as everyone else though, would love a run in this!

The JPT is a competition where if we get knocked out in the early stages I'm not too fussed, but the further we go in the competition the more I tend to take an interest in it like most people I guess, I remember being absolutely gutted when we lost in the area final in Carlisle in 2003, would have loved a day out at the Millennium.

I find it a funny attitude when most teams that win it are also usually very successful in the league the same season - just like Bristol City last year - winning becomes a habbit and usually goes hand in hand with league form and rarely distracts from league success
Some fans just like to have a snobbish attitude and think their teams are better than they really are - also it brings in extra revenue each round the team are successful

They tried to increase 'excitement' in the JPT adding conference teams into it.
Didn't work.
Remember the days of group stages of it!?!??!

would if help if JPT tickets were included in people's season tickets?

Accrington away would be a great opportunity to revisit the Crown Inn. Bury away would mean the Swan and Cemetary.
Morecambe away is also acceptable. But a visit to Carlisle, Oldham, Burslem or Walsall is not.

would if help if JPT tickets were included in people's season tickets? Good idea. Would give a welcome boost to the numbers on the gate.

Awful competition. Play the youth team. Agreed. Competition should be knocked out of the schedule First few rounds get very low attendances and if you do get to the final the idea of another trip to the soulless Wembley and all the expense that entails makes it low on my priorities

Awful competition. Play the youth team. "The Football League operates a similar rule in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, where clubs must play at least six regular first-teamers, based on overall appearances or previous and subsequent games. Clubs have been fined in recent years for breaking the JPT rule and the Football League believe it has helped the competition grow in stature." We can't afford wages, let alone a fine!

Sell Goldson and we could do both .

It used to be a bit better when they let the top teams from the conference in . Now it's just a pointless competition . 1st round games are a joke .

Some fans just like to have a snobbish attitude and think their teams are better than they really are - also it brings in extra revenue each round the team are successful Nothing snobbish about it. We've limited resources and are competing against some massive clubs and so could do without a crap competition no-one cares about. It was worth more last season when we could play bigger clubs, but now we're in the same league as most of them.
