Well done to the Lionesses.....hopefuly the mens team can learn something about team unity from you. I haven't followed it too closely but have enjoyed it when I have caught a game and felt very proud of the effort and desire after the heartrenching semi

Great result and we'll done to them. As the manager has said, they should be regarded as legends.
Best England result in the World Cup since 1966.

Congratulations and well done to the England women.
The difference to the men's team........the women actually look like they enjoy playing for England and representing their country!

Congratulations and well done to the England women. The difference to the men's team........the women actually look like they enjoy playing for England and representing their country! Maybe, but there is no pressure on them at the moment from fans or the media. Or pundits dissecting their every move. It seems likely that this Women's game is about to grow , attracting support ( male and female ) which will great for the game, but will also have its downside. Looking forward to the introduction of HABS , and even sordid tales from the teams hotel while on tour. Was going to say HAGS but I resisted falling into the sexual stereotyping trap, no need, unneccessary and inappropriate.

That would be a better comparison if that was the case.

Well if the men's team had done well in the World Cup would the FA be tweeting that the players are going back to be fathers, partners and sons? I very much doubt it.

Indeed they showed character and mentality lacked by our men. If our men got 3rd place it would be I massive thing. Shame they didn't get more coverage than they did.

Apart from the tweet being patronising base sexism, it's shows another level of ignorance because most of the team are professionals.
Embarrassing.

Ignorance is Bunkems forte hence his comment re " lot of angst about nothing " . Some people just don't get it which is very sad in this day and age .
