An unsavoury post by the OP which I rather think he should delete.
I think that most on here (myself included) have not had any problems with the club shop employees perhaps demonstrates the attitude problem may be the other way round?

You can only take people as you find them! Indeed, but perhaps a quiet word in the said club-shop employees ear would have sufficed, rather than dragging an individuals reputation through the mud in an arena where they have no right of reply?

No way do I have an attitude of any kind. Never have and never will (apart from perhaps the existence of drums in the stadium). You are making assumptions which are not based on evidence of any kind. Whereas I have my spouse as back up for the fact that I didn't have the best of customer service. On what evidence do you THINK that most on here have not had any problems?

Is there only two people that work there?
Never had an issue with either.
Both pleasant.

I'm quite happy to accept that it may have just been a bad afternoon. No point in continuing this thread.

Think a club shop is always a tricky issue for a club of our size.
Turnover at the shop just doesn't justify the full time shop manager and professional manager that you get on the high street, and as such our shop stock, marketing and the customer experience you get in it is different. You certainly don't get the up selling, range if offers and customer loyalty schemes you get on the high street
That said I'm not sure that level of service and stock is needed, and investing in that probably wouldn't be worth the return the club shop would get back. As many people have said it tends to be a place you pop into quickly to buy something you know you want when you go in. It's not a bespoke boutique where you are going to buy 2-3 other high priced items due to smart customer service and clever marketing

I don't think I've ever popped in at the club shop at Oteley Road on a weekday, but on the occasions I did at Gay Meadow I'd pop into reception to tell the lady I'd like to get something from the shop and then Mike Thomas or Graham would get the key to let me in... those were the days!

Haven't been in there for years, when I did always found the lad quite helpful, but the woman always found abrupt and made to feel like a hindrance, probably partly why I never go in there, that and the tat that's on sale.

When I brought the problem with the shirts up a couple of weeks ago I was laughed at. It seems the only thing to do for the next two seasons is not wash them at all. Smelly shrews fans Do we know if greenhouse have extended there contract yet or we may be changing after one season anyway

Yes sounds like they were very helpful with Clive when he made them aware of the shirt problem, I reiterate the lads alright, the woman I find very obnoxious, makes the customer feel like a nuisance. Just because we support the club we shouldn't have to accept shoddy service.
