Great sight, the real satisfying moment will be the next time I turn up and the ground to see them awful clip art monstrosities gone and a relevant decent badge displayed on our stadium.

Simply amazing stuff.
We'll long remember those who fought to bring it back and conversely those who believed the clip art lion was fit to represent our great club.

We'll long remember those who believed the clip art lion was fit to represent our great club. Spot on. Town fans have long memories and will always recall vividly the comments of certain club officials, supporters' groups and even B&A posters throughout this affair. But we before it shall be remembered We few, we Salop few, we band of brothers; For he who fought for our history with me Shall be my brother; even if we don’t agree On other facets of the game’s condition! And the apologists of Shrewsbury, now abashed Shall think themselves accursed they did not help And hold their manhoods cheap, while anyone speaks Who fought with us before our Loggerheads day.

This is brilliant stuff. Well done to all those who were involved in the changing of the badge.

You are the guy who said the campaign was wasting their time. You are the guy who said the clip art was more than acceptable for our club. How can you 'Yawn' when you look so f*cking ridiculous?

My yawn wasn't about the badge.
It was about the constant belittling of anyone who dared to have a different view to the original poster.

My yawn wasn't about the badge. It was about the constant belittling of anyone who dared to have a different view to the original poster. And you don't think that someone entering the word 'yawn' into someone else's thread isn't an attempt to belittle it. Hypocritical don't you think.

My yawn wasn't about the badge. It was about the constant belittling of anyone who dared to have a different view to the original poster. There was very much a political aspect in bringing back the Loggerheads. Much of this played out here on the pages of B&A. We unfortunately had a few belligerent and very vocal pro-clipart proponents who, as it turned out, represented just over 4% of the eventual badge vote. It was vital that these posters were not allowed to distort the genuine groundswell of feeling felt by the vast majority of fans.

The group took a lot of stick at the time. As a loggerheads supporter, I'll admit there were times when the campaign seemed to be treading water, with some pretty nasty verbal attacks on loggerheads supporters.
I hope now that as the REAL badge of the club is slowly returning, we have a show of dignity from the supporters who worked to get the loggerheads returned, with no show of gloating.
Oh go on then, just a little bit.

His first post - however - was thoroughly in-keeping with the strangeness of B&A's resident Justin Lee Collins lookalike. Much like his doppelgänger, he is prone to online stalking and loves nothing better than to try and goad me into digital confrontation. I became wise to this many months back. Be under no illusion guys, theshrews81 firmly and steadfastly opposed the reinstatement of a Loggerheads-based crest. By his own admission, he was one of just 99 fans - out of 1071 total voters (91.5%) - to vote 'no' to change in 2014. In doing so, he ultimately voted against progress, STFC's commercial interests and our club's proud identity as a whole. His 'view' on the subject was indeed different to mine and also that of hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds of like-minded patriots. I hope he reflects on his opposition - and disregard for our heritage - each and every time he sees the beautiful new crest on a shirt, programme, website or television screen. So anyone in that 4% are to be vilified for having a different opinion? No they shouldnt. A handful of posters did receive abuse but was deserved as they made some ridiculous claims and they made it personal by bringing Geoff & Justins age and the fact they were students into the debate (as if it mattered). I never had an issue with people who didnt want the loggerheads brought back, I didnt agree but they were entitled to their opinion. What annoyed and puzzled me who claimed they didnt care about the badge but seemed to spend so much time belittiling the loggerheads campaign, why bother if you don't care either way?

WATP - We Are The People It's people like you geff that we've got a lot to thank for. Well done and you are right to ignore the 4%. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but when it has no substance or no constructive criticism even to support their own point of view then it becomes pointless.

I don't think they should be, but I hope they respect the fact that the vast majority of STFC supporters wanted the loggerheads back and now we've got our badge back, I can't understand how anyone would prefer clippy over the historic loggerheads but I guess everyone is not the same...

I'm not sure anyone knows what its like to be vilified MORE than Geoffrey on this matter. Some of the mud slung at him on here, in general and even senior members of existing fans groups was ridiculous and embarrassing.
That he stuck at it (with others) is a huge testament to him.

very proud moment to see this. To all the people involved in helping us get this..... a massive thanks, Few know what the lads and also later in the campaign the SP went through to achieve this. At times the abuse was so personal it made me wonder why I bothered with STFC at all, but seeing this has made it worth it.

Home shirt so far. Will likely get a new scarf and a new mug if they stock a mug with the loggerheads.

It's about credibility.
The OSC and Superblues have zero credibility.
