Can one of our Scottish chums or anyone explain to me what the hell is the logic in the Scottish play off system? It seems that Rangers have had to play and beat Queen of the South in a play off to then play Hibernian in a second play off to earn the right to play Motherwell if a further play off..convoluted or what?

and if they beat Motherwell and they will then have to hold referendum for the people to decide whether they can go into the SPL or not.

Bizarre to say the least. The SPL/SFL dragged their heels on having these play offs for so long and when they finally bring them in they are in this crazy format.
Purely a cash cow. All these extra live matches which are well attended.

Or is it all to do with Rangers and getting them back into the top sphere? Under the old system they would not have figured. Some I know actually prefer this latest way and when play-offs were first started in this country they featured a team from the league above. I seem to remember that Charlton avoided the drop on one occasion.

There were loads of gaps in the home end too
