Been out for a few cheeky ones so only just seen the result. An absolutely wretched away day only tempered by the fact I was within touching distance of the honourable john salako in the bar afterwards. Thanks goodness and good riddance to the fluky barstewards

The match report on the game on the official Wycombe Wanderers site doesn't even mention the penalty claim against Jacobson!
And even more surprisingly, neither does the match report on the official Southend United site.

Even better is that Mawson, Saunders, Yennaris and Onyedima now all go back to their parent clubs.
Hereford and indeed ourselves are examples of the utter folly of basing a fair % of the team on revolving door loanees.

Wycombe will welcome the 200k plus they will receive from the Final though, so may not need to rely so heavily on the loan market next season. I don't think they will challenge next season but equally not struggle either!

Awful game but great drama, Gareth Ainsworth trying hard to get at Graham Coughlan, possibly having a conversation about time wasting/cheating.

People tend to forget that a linesman had already effectively stuffed WW this season. If he had given the Shrewsbury goal at Bury, Wycombe would have been automatically promoted. In essence, I would rather watch any other team than one which could employ Bilel Mohsni in the past.

I remember mentioning at the time that it would be worth us losing against Bury if it mean't the Wiggles didn't go up.
How ironic it was another dodgy decision against us that has worked against them this time to deny them promotion.
I hope Ainsworth is affair of what happened at Bury that night.

If the linesman hadn't incorrectly ruled Mangan offside then Wycombe wouldn't have escaped with a draw at the Meadow. Karma arrived for Ainsworth in the 122nd minute yesterday. Until then the Wycombe luck had been in evidence to the full, with Jacobson the player involved.
