Hi everyone as some of you may already know. I'm doing 90 marathons in 90 days in July and have been training hard for it. Unfortunately my wife suffered her 7th miscarriage. I'm wanting to raise awareness and money for Tommy's Baby Charity who research in to this. To follow me I have added my facebook link.Gratefully Shefield United and Burton fc have sent me nice gestures for the charity.Sheffield United have sent us 2 tickets same with burton. Long story but my wife dad is a vicar and clubs gor to know about it through his facebook page.I was a season ticket holder for 6 years until wife being made redundant and in a unstable job has prevented me from going. m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=449135175243465

Is that physically possible? Medically advisable? The mind boggles! Good luck!

Is that physically possible? Medically advisable? The mind boggles! Good luck! physically possible (yes) the human body can do amazing things when pushed to the limit.Medically probably not! Why not donate and if I fail (which I wont) I will give you double your money back.

How are you collecting? I have a small amount of money in my UK bank account and would be happy to donate a little bit if it can be done by a visa payment (and there is certainly no need to make a wager out of it - if you think you can do it then I believe you, and I'm bloody impressed that you are even going to try such a feat)

A bit of a bounce - it looks like the routes have changed a bit but the challenge is the same - good to see that almost 1k has been raised so far
The list of areas for 90 Marathons in 90 days. All runs will be the full 26.2 miles and will be recorded via a Garmin Watch and go pro camera. Some of the runs are races but obviously with the costing involved it would not be viable to do each one as a race.

Great effort.
You may want to think about changing number 86 though.

Hi , Thanks for the messages and support over the last few weeks. It will be hard and I will probably suffer but as long as I raise awareness for the Charities involved then I would of done my job and hopefully also inspire others to take up running, as running has changed my life for the better. I'm hoping that Shrewsbury will be at home when I do the Shrewsbury leg if not I will alter this run to suit as hopefully I can get a marathon shirt signed by the players so it can raffled off at the end of the year.
Thanks again for your support.

Fantastic effort... Has anybody involved thought to contact Talk Sport or other national stations? Perhaps an interview would raise the profile now Mark holds a world record for marathons (ultras) and gain more recognition / support
Massive respect

Mark has been on Midlands today and some other local stations. He has recently picked up some sponsorship from Lucozade and new balance to provide him with some drinks and trainers for his efforts.
I am sure his team will have been in touch with other national stations but I will drop him a message to prompt him.
I am likely to do his 89th marathon with him (a 43 miler from Stafford to coventry ) to watch us play Coventry if anyone else cares to join us.

I actually went to Snowdonia on the Sunday to go walking but also watch the marathon / half marathon runners, hoping to give my support to Mark. As I took my place near the finish for the marathon I looked at my Facebook to see that he'd withdrawn 7 hours earlier due to injury to do a more flat course! Might return next year to at least do the half. It looked fun. I'll be at the Chester race one way or another, either supporting or running the metric race.

Dave
Looks like a fun race and on my radar for 2016, know a couple of runners who did the whole thing and said it was a toughy! Also looking at Chester too, highly rated race and another that's on my "wish" list! Next up though, Race the Rain in August. 14 miles man vs Machine... looking forward to that!
Hope marks injury's recover, think I might drop him a line when hes into the 60/70/80 and offer to run a day with him. By hen he should be going slow enough for me!

Hi guys Thanks for the messages, Yeh I did go to snowdonia with every intention of completing the race, I did a 3am marathon run on the Saturday to prepare for the Sunday. Ive had a niggle on the back of my knee for about 10 days.In the end I thought it would be silly doing it and maybe hurting my knee more. I was in barmouth at the time of the decision. I was gutted as this was the 1 I wanted to do.But I will be going back in a few weeks to do it. Anyway thanks guys and hope to see you soon if not the coventry game as this will be my 1st game this season due to my schedule.

I think you made the right choice Mark. The conditions weren't great and judging by the finishing times it was a really tough race! It would have been stupid to put your entire mission in jeopardy for the sake of one race. All the best for the remainder, I'll continue to watch your progress. If there's any runs that I think I can join you on I will be in touch.

Mark has asked me to update you all.
Mark completes his 45th marathon in 45 days tomorrow. The adventure has taken Mark all over the country from the south coast in Cornwall to London and many places in between.
Next weekend Mark is running 26 miles at Ben Nevin, Scarfold Pike and then Snowdon.
Please like his Facebook page and give him the encouragement us Shropshire folk are famous for
