Marc Tierney retires from Football at 29 years old.
Another of GPs youngsters that were brought in and went onto bigger things.
Good Luck Marc

What shocked me was how long it Simpson to replace him, actually thinking about it.
Did he ever?

Tough luck that. One of my favourite players from that era - always gave his best and always had a good rapport with the fans.
All the best in the future, Marc.

He was one of the best co-commentators ever to make an appearance on Radio Shrops. Struck me as an intelligent and eloquent guy. Great player for us and a real Peters' warrior. Good luck Marc Tierney

Great player who looked like an absolute dud when we first signed him. Turned out to be one of the best left backs I've seen in a Town shirt.
Used to speak to him regularly when he passed through the train station with Colin Murdock.
Really nice approachable bloke, shame his career has been cut short in this way.

Shame to be leaving the game so early - would imagine he would make an excellent coach!
Him and Herd were an excellent pairing - always put in an excellent shift.
