Just heard the video interview with MW (it's on the Shropshire Star website). Worth a listen if you haven't heard it already. In it he says there will be photo shoots this week but, that, contractually, they can't sell it until after the last competitive fixture. So not much longer to wait hopefully. Oh and he also says that agents are already contacting them about players for next season. Correct, Matt said after the Cheltenham game interview, Can do photo shoot but not sell until after final whistle on Saturday due to contract with Surridge in place. New home and away kit .

What about those who purchased the 'new' away kit this year? No mention that it would only last a year at its launch! This was prior to campaign. Kits usually last two years and I'm sure (fairly sure) our agreement with Surridge was till the end of next season so can only think we've terminated it early... Come on club were in a new era of being open with the fans, not just the SP who then don't pass information on to those they represent!

A-Line, ProStar, Surridge...
Have any lasted longer than a couple of seasons? Joma did with two kits.

I really like the current away shirt but with the change of badge it makes sense to change it. I don't get why this is a problem really, if you don't want to buy the new kit then don't and wear the current one. If I don't like or don't want to buy something I don't, I feel no obligation just cos it's got my team written on it! It will be interesting if both home and away shirts last 2 years, I can't see the club wanting zero income from shirts next summer so perhaps another one year away shirt?

There has been nothing to feed back recently, as we have not had a meeting for ages. Yes the SP we asked about the kit, but for the masses of legal reasons, many of which are set out on here, we were not allowed to say anything. There has been fan consultation on the kit mind and i'm sure it will go down well because of it.

Just to clarify, does that mean it cannot be sold until the final whistle or cannot be publicised? Also hope the club can order more with a quick turnaround, that's also seemingly been a problem in the past.

Don't mean to critisis any one but the last meeting of te SP was 22/01 and little feedback has been given as it was confidential... Then no meeting for over 3 months yet I'm sure the SP board have been in regular contact with the club. The idea of the SP was for individual reps to represent different groups, like away supporters, west stand, dissabled, superblues, et al but this doesn't seem to happen.... Is there a meeting planned? If not wouldn't it be an idea? Whens the next ledgend banner going up? 3 for over £5K so far. Is there going to be an open day, what about the current away kit only being used for 1 year? any discount for those who purchased? Appreciate your all busy and give up your own time which is admerable so no critisism to any individual just doesn't seem the same as when it was launcched with Martin, perhaps because Matt prefers a less formal arrangement with cosy chats but I feel it needs to be more formal for it to work when the fans and the club don't agree

I wonder if the club is planning a 'pop up' shop/ kiosk (burger van style) for Saturday? I reckon they'll be plenty of demand for new shirts so the shop will be rammed post match. Why not have a cash-only kiosk I'm the car park too, after all it's the last chance for passing trade for a while. Also get a few shirts on display behind the buffets etc so people get a look at the real thing when they're joining the inevitable halftime queues...

looks as though we must all be patient for another few days. I would like to see the SP meet more regularly with the club, but we are in their hands.
personally I would like MW form a sub committee of the SP to jointly investigate and suggest additional uses for the stadium and grounds. raising cash from any source will help next season and this summer.
pre ordering kit online will be a help to the club shop when design known. judging by polo shirts it is size L that sells quickest.

The SP meetings are 4/5 times a year and I have always given feedback on B and A about these. After that there is a lot of consultation with the two chairman of the SP, but the rest of the SP are in the dark a lot of the time about these ongoing smaller matters (there are various emails that we do respond to at times). I think Mike would agree that we could be much better in giving ongoing feeback in various channels but its all about people giving up there time and its tough at times. For example we should be promoting the SP more than we are to encourage more people to join us in the meetings.... but again people have to give there time up and you never seem to get the numbers. I personally would also like to see the club come out and say the SP is the main and focal point for fan club consultation, and hang there hat somewhere, but with lots of existing groups, its hard for them to do that and not put someones back up. If there was the one point, everyone could rally into it and it could be a lot more powerful. Thats a personal view. Its certainly changed under Matt, I would also agree with that, and the SP have probably taken on a bigger role in terms of the club listening, but possibly at the detriment to actually feeding things back to fans. I'm 100% that's its representing the fans well though. I cant fault is (us?) on that. Another reason that that last meeting did not contain much feedback was that there are a lot of "big" things that Matt would like to get going and change in the medium to long term, and he was after feedback, but a lot of these were long terms plans and not really to be "out there". I have faith the club under matt and the chairman can actually get a lot of these big things going, which would be amazing. The SP this season has played a massive part in getting the badge back, and its overall final design, surveyed over 1500 STFC fans, had a say/input/influence on the new kit, played a part in the forthcoming stadium decoration, been able to get key messages to the club about tickets so that these could be addressed (hence a couple of U turns this season) and much more. Problem is, we arnt on the rooftops singing about it, when we really should be. Be that a lack of an online presence, or something else. It really is something we should work on, and needs to be on our next agenda, more say that just listing to Matt tell us of his latest great idea (no dig at Matt, but the SP need to discuss SP issues at the meetings as well which we failed to do last time). There are other challenges, like the engagement of existing supporters groups (not that that is necessary). There are challenges going forward i'm my view, but the principle of fans having a big say on key matters, and feeding in the little niggles is working. As usual, anyone who wants to be involved, let me or the SP know.

good feedback guys so thank you. personally i don't think the SP has changed much since myself and Martin set it up, what has changed is the amount of info that can be fed back. When the SP was setup we were told certain issues were off limits such as playing squad etc thats changed and Matt is very open with what he says, however this means certain things can't be minuted.
I understand peoples concerns with this but personally id rather it like this so we know if any major issues are going to come up, but also it allows us to help the club with certain things that 12 months ago we wouldn't have been consulted on.
im not the sort of guy that wants to stand on a roof top 'bugging' us up..... but don't under estimate the work that has gone in this year, with the help of Matt we have achieved a new badge and new kits. we have challenged ticketing issues and will have a say on catering People have to trust me and Roger to a certain extent as some things come up where we don't have time to call a meeting or even email everyone. We talk to Matt weekly but i guarantee we do this for the good of our fans, not for us and not for our clique. if you knew the work that myself, Roger, Glyn, Oli and the others put in on the badge you would realise that things are fluid and split decisions have to be made at times, and this is on top of full time jobs, families and life in general.
all i ask is people get involved, come to our next meeting, see what its like and you will understand why certain things are done the way they are. this is a two way street, we have to help, support and trust the club and they have to trust that certain things are kept amongst us, otherwise it just won't work.
next meeting will be called soon, hope you like the badge and hope you like the new kits.
and as i said I'm always happy for people to pm me

This is very positive and perhaps I'm living in the past when the club used fans groups and individuals to get what they wanted rather than what the fans wanted / needed. Easier to sell an idea or unpopular decision to a small group of reps then get them to role it out without the club losing face...
I think we do need to get back to 'representatives' representing different groups, so how about a Sticky Post for questions for the next SP meeting El.... So that any meeting deals with fans wishes / concerns not just Matts ideas (meant to be a positive suggestion)
Good news that a meeting will happen shortly, I for 1 will attend but can we have a couple of weeks notice...

the SP is a great idea, and I quite understand the kit has to be kept quiet for contractual reasons, as the present contract may not expire until 17.00 on Saturday. I do hope the shop will have loads of sales, online and offline.
I agree with a sticky post where we can post suggestions for meetings, and or greater use of the ground. many thanks to all on the SP

Will we see it today? The club plan to show it before the game tomorrow, right? Pretty sure I picked that up from somewhere. Would kinda make sense too if they want people to have the readies down there to buy it.

MM in the new blue & amber number size m, Roland in the new 10/10 away strip over the top of his favourite primarni suit & don't forget Matt Williams in our new 3rd choice kit with a loggerheads beach towel draped round his shoulders all boxer trainer style.

Amber with 1 blue horizontal stripe and 1 vertical stripe, similar to Swedish flag is my guess from a distance.

A stripe is a stripe only if it runs alone or adjacent to another, what your describing and what appears on the Swedish flag is a cross! Don't believe the club or reps. from the SP would choose a cross that has nothing to do with Salop's history....... My guess would be an amber shirt and shorts with a broad blue stripe on the front and blue panel on the back, blue trim to shirt and shorts.......

I was hoping someone would have leaked a picture by now!

Been told by a reliable source that the kits are as follows:
The kits are being made by errea next season.
Home kit reverting back to the blue and amber stripes but with more amber than blue almost same design as cheltenhams from 2012 (give it a google)
Away shirt exactly same design but going back to the argentina esc colour away shirt we had way back.
Both really nice and obviously enhanced with those beautiful loggerheads back in place.

Would give the home an 8/10 , couple of bits ud like to tweak but great all the same.

I'm still loath to say anything about the design having seen the mocked up shirts in the last SP meeting, and being told that its legally sensitive so to keep it private.
But I will say this, it's two impressive kits, and I will be purchasing one on Saturday evening 100%. The SP were asked what fans wanted and I believe that the feedback given to the club has resulted in what could be exactly what everyone would want.
Bring your wallets people!

Using Cheltenham's as an example - not too similar to Brighton's kit from two years ago.
