www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32399291Credit to them. That's not just a token reduction, it's about 60%. Pretty sure that's comparable with a non-early bird adult season ticket at STFC, and we're not even the most expensive in the division. I get that there are mitigating factors like their move to their new stadium which they wouldn't sell out at current prices, but even so it's a promising sign. Hopefully this can be the start of a move through English football whereby fans start to be treated as fans again, rather than cash cows. Won't happen with the biggest clubs, but nobody cares about them anyway on here

Do we really see the Porn Barons as the Chuckle Brothers of Philanthropy.? Where did all this money come from to finance this great show of kindness, ask Newham Council tenants and tax payers for a start. Maybe they will push money aside to help the smaller, lower league clubs in the area to keep their heads above water. Or maybe not!
opened the link above. All I read was the views of some- one called Brady talking bollox.

I wonder if it's connected with the reported threat of an EU investigation into the new stadium? Something to do with state aid, was it?
Limited philanthropy from club owners I can take at face value, 60% price cuts must have a business motive behind them. Such things are rarely what they seem.

Even Wet Spam got in first with this Reality show thing, so Orient are just copying them in the hope that it works better for them.
Did' nt Spam employ a 6 foot plus long haired ejit , plus his much older and fatter mate from Up North in the hope that watching these two would take the crowds attention away from the fact that the team is, in fact, complete crap.

Personally don't care why it's happened, just hope that it can convince other clubs to also make reductions.

Excellent - the Spurs fan is chucking his toys out already. Has Levy sacked Pochettino yet ?

When do they move into the Olympic stadium? Are these tickets for then? Any idea if they're giving the ground a decent name?

I think the fact that they only paid £15m up front and only £2m a year rent for a new state of the art stadium that will earn them that many, many, many times over might also have something to do with it. (i.e a lot cheaper than Andy Carroll)

They had to reduce prices as part of the deal I thought. Great for their fans anyway, I imagine the crowds will be good but it'll be interesting to see if they fill the ground. With those prices you'd hope so.

They probably did'nt want to rely on others to bankroll their renting of the ground. Bet the residents of Newham are chuffed to little meat- balls that Wet Spam have taken over the ground.

Stratford actualy - get it right !
Anyway have you finished buying up all those properties in Tottenham to demolish for your new ground ? Now that has been shameful - even hammered the residents who didn't want to go with high court writs.........that isn't how to treat your own !
