Carter has lost interest in running AFC Telford now that he has joined the gravy train that is the Telford Labour Party. Plus I hear he's making a nice few quid as a double for Al Murray and the chap from Bad Manners.

Let's not forget that Lee Carter stood up and was counted when his club needed someone. He is a fan who just wanted to do his bit when his club were in a horrible position because of the Andy Shaw saga.
Before anyone starts to have a go at me, I never knew Lee until he got involved, we met through the Supporters Trusts and subsequently had some great discussions about our respective clubs.
I will always admire what he did at the time for Telford in difficult circumstances.

I was wondering if any Juan had a banner for sale that I could hang over a motorway bridge. It would have to be a long Juan, I want to put "Welcome to the Conference North" on it. Let me know when you are planning to do it - would just LOVE to join you (I have a long memory too) "Welcome to the pub league" saves space

Unless Telford gain at least a league place they are always going to struggle to attract those who have moved into the area and failed to leave behind the Clubs they supported and if the next generation go with their Dad to the Football then it may take generations to build up sufficient support. You may get a few fans who haven't had parents/relatives to take them to games so have needed to go to Telford to watch a game of Football. In time they may have kids and pass on the tradition which is how small clubs usually build their supporter base. Yet this is the major problem for AFC Telford. Someones going to have to have sex with a Telford fan to create the next generation that I'm afraid is not going to happen. How far are Market Drayton away in the Non-League system? Currently flirting with relegation from Division One South of the Northern Premier League, This one of the two second-tier divisions of the Northern Premier League. It is at Step 4 of the National League System, placing it at the eighth level of the overall English football league system, seven divisions below the Premier League. For sponsorship reasons, it is also referred to as the Evo-Stik League Division One South.
