Can someone please tell me why southern is deemed good enough but wildig isn't? Yes ok southern is meant to be the tough tackling enforcer to see out games but I would much rather wildig who can get on the ball and pick and execute a clever pass come on in the last few minutes.

Would like to think Wildig will be retained as a replacement for Woods likely move in the summer.....more chance of Dawley gaining recognition as an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Real shame really, it wasn't to long ago he was running the midfiled and we was worried about losing him.

Have heard that there is an off-the-pitch issue but not being able to substantiate that I won't say anymore. It would explain it though.

Just read that he missed 17 games through injury last season and we won only 2 of those.

Very unfortunate player. It does Seem that this season he has not been given a fair chance. Think he will be one of those players that will come back and haunt us.
Still who'd be a football manager and have to make tough decisions and to be fair they have the full picture which we as fans don't have.

Aww bless. Time to start rumours of back room fallout and how you've heard from someone else.
He wasn't that great a player and got found out under mm.

Wildig's fighting for his league career IMO and needs to put himself in the shop window for when he is probably released at the end of the season. Whilst I recognise how well he started last season, for me he's been very average for the majority of his three and a half years with us and I am a bit of a loss as to why he seems to have gained an almost cult-like status with many on here. As Pab once said I think he seems to have got better and better with every game he's missed.
But good luck to him. Not an easy life being a lower league footballer sometimes.

Sorry - but AW is easily good enough for L2.
Not sure if you watched Town last season or the season before where he was highly impressive in a very poor squad.

Not starting a rumour, have zero history of doing so and was deliberately down-playing it. Whether or not he was good or not it could be that it did not matter due to other concerns. I'll concede that it probably wasn't worth saying anything but no need for the patronising sarcasm really.

Not sure he got found out, for that to happen he might have needed to play him in the team for more than a few minutes....unlike the two donkeys called Southern and Griffith who were deemed to be superior by MM. Good Luck Mr Wildig, unlike the Manager many of us have faith in your ability

It's Grant, Woods, Clark, Lawrence and Weso who Wildig has been trying to oust... Not an easy job.

Currently suffering absence greatness. A condition whereby a player suddenly becomes an all time great the moment he experiences an extended absence.
Ive seen enough of mm to trust in his judgement. If Wildig doesn't get in the first team then I'm confident there's a damn good reason.
Too many fifa experts on here sometimes!

Been treated harshly in my opinion.
He is very good back up for Woods or Lawrence but when either have missed games he hasn't got a chance.
Good CM at League 2 level and still very young (22 years old,Woods is 21) and I'd expect him to spend the majority of his career above League 2.
I sense from Mellon's interviews that he thinks Wildig isn't fit enough to compete and if he thinks that then fair enough.

I have said many times that football is all about opinions. Paul and I differ on midfielders in particular but that doesn't make either of us right ( or wrong ). I personally like AW as a player who can spot and play a defence splitting pass and who will always put a shift in. Paul has never seen these qualities in Aaron - fair enough I know how highly he rates Ryan Woods, a player with huge potential, but one who has been below par probably since Chelsea. In recent games he spends more time going backwards than the crews in the University Boat Race. I appreciate that form is temporary whereas class is permanent so I fully expect him to get back to his best soon. That said, I feel RW could have been rested for a couple of games when they have been coming thick and fast and AW given the chance that every squad member deserves.

Wilding looked a player last season and we definitely missed him when he was out injured but that was last seasons team and squad. Has he been missed this season in comparison to his team mates ? the answers no.
Really hope he gets sorted and finds a place somewhere but that isn't at this club.

Robbo, Lawrence, Grant, Grifwif, Clark, Southern have all struggled with fitness 1 way or another but Aaron was firing in training 3 months ago, he then goes and get game time 2. 1 thing that's p**sed me off in so far a brilliant season. goodbye Aaron.

The lad went from a player that got cheers when he got subbed off at Coventry to one of our best players, then a new manager comes in and bang you're frozen out.
Funny old game and you can understand why there is no loyalty from players they need to go where the money is.

Anyone who was at York would agree that he had a good case to be named man of the match. His ONLY start. If he had been retained there would have been no need for Southern.

I hope Aaron really puts himself in the shop window whilst at Morecambe. His future lies away from the GM so hopefully he'll find a new club come next summer. The last time I saw him play was at Oldham last season and he played ok. I still think he has a lot to offer.

Disappointed that young Aaron is on his way to Morecambe. Still think that, given a chance, he would prove to be a good acquisition to the squad. I would not be surprised to see him playing at a higher level and wish him well where ever he ends up.
There remains a chance that he stays as a Town player following his loan spell!
