Should now be included in the top ten fastest red cards in football history. Having come on as a sub in Wycombe's game against Tranmere tonight in the 67th minute, he was walking 70 seconds later for 'fighting'. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/3159807668:16 Dismissal Dismissal Matt McClure (Wycombe Wanderers) is shown the red card for fighting. 67:06 Substitution Substitution Substitution, Wycombe Wanderers. Matt McClure replaces Sam Saunders.

Guess that will be a 3 game ban? Won't be seeing him on 14th March then when we go down there. Nice one Matt

No excuse as a professional should have more self control.

I seem to remember it that he literally took two steps on to the pitch,a Carlisle defender made a comment, Lowe ed him , straight red card, Lowe took two steps off the pitch....and then off down the tunnel

I was thinking of Lowe when that happened, thought he was on the pitch for less than 30 seconds

I remember Darren Currie getting sent-off away to Oxford in the 90s in similar circumstances. On the pitch for a couple of minutes before elbowing his marker...

Anyone know anything about a player from Scotland... Think his name was Andy Todd - sent off almost immediately after kick off as when the ref blew the whistle, he exclaimed
'Kin ell! That was loud!
Then there was Ryan Lowe .. Was it against Carliar? Bought on as a sub, sythed down one of their lads and given his marching orders within 5 mins?

You can watch the incident on utube via that link. You can't swing your arm like that. I think you can see by the reaction of the WW players and bench they weren't too impressed with McClure.

looked like an arm across the chest to me but the footage was a bit poor. I can remember Dave Macallister getting sent off for one similar and didn't think it was a red

I can remember Dave Macallister getting sent off for one similar and didn't think it was a red I thought that at first, but slow it down bob and you see his arm is level with Dugdale's face - I think he is basically smacked in the face/jaw. Might not have been intentional, and Dugdale is no angel either, but still a red.

Don't you get an extra game added to the suspension if it gets rejected? Introduced I thought to avoid too many appeals. Report says he will serve a 3 game ban

It doesn't matter if it's a slap on the bottom, you still can't do it, even if you are a former MP.
