Remember the manager's like Westley, who after beating us, said, "sometimes you have to win ugly".
A freezing Tuesday in Accrington, terrible pitch, rain and hail, and we won. Burton got found out in similar circumstances. Our lads stood up and were counted when the going got tough. The never say die attitude of our players should be applauded.
Fantastic result, I can't believe anyone is criticising that performance.

Don't disagree with much of that Foz, except that I thought Clark had quite a tidy game, showed some really good touches and contributed plenty. Got to say for £20 quid and a fiver for the young'n it's about time Accy sorted out some sort of shelter so at least you can get a few minutes respite to eat your chips at half time... Wet through and fkin freezing! Worth it for that final header though, well worth it! You could have moved along the side under a bit of shelter - I moved there when the hail started in the first half

It was more the area where they have the burger vans behind the stand that you'd think they could rig up something to stand under. Nothing fancy, just something! Funny how you feel a little drier after you nick it in the final few minutes though.

Sensational, With you all the way. When you try and play football its tough in conditions like that. I thought it was a very entertaining game. Seems very clear if you're going to be hyper critical that Barnett / Collins is not working. How long Mickey let's that continue not sure. Akpa up front with Collins I'd expect Saturday. Shaun Dyche was very complimentary about the team as well.

Some Juan on the Accy board has described the interview by Coleman by being like a dying zebra being surrounded by vultures!
I didn't think he sounded as cheerful as that, to be honest.
Any road up, good luck Stanley, a lovely family club.

Too late/cold last night to report....
Lots, lots better. Much improved performances from the likes of Gayle, Grant, Clark and Barnett.
Collins might need a rest.

Several posters over the last few weeks have suggested that Collo needs a rest and they may have a point but I can't see it happening.
Unless MM does something radical, like playing Clark or Grant up front with one of the other forwards what other options does he have at the moment? Barnett and JLAA - might work but think Tyrone needs to be 25% fitter before that would be really effective and that would be the same with Tyrone and Scott Vernon together. JLAA and Vernon could have potential with JLAA donkey work and Vernon feeding on the bits and pieces. While Collo hasn't had his best spell in recent weeks he is more likely to produce a goal than any of the others and he generally puts the opposition defence under pressure, even when he's not having the best of games. I haven't forgotten about Mandron but I think MM has...

If I was manager, on Saturday morning, I'd jab Collins forcefully in the chest several times, and say to him, "now then, young man, I know you've scored as many goals as young Tom Bradshaw at Walsall, even though he hasn't scored for the last 6 games, and has got their supporters rattled, because they think they might have bought a pig in a poke, but your 15 goals count for NOTHING, when you compare to Vernon's 2, so you can park your arse on the bench and sit by Tamika Mkandawire.
"Excuse me, Boss, Mkandawire isn't at the club any more". "That just shows how out of touch you are, Collo, you need to use soccerbase a bit more".

Watched the highlights: awful miss by Terry G. He had all of the left hand side of the goal to aim at from 6 yards; he could have passed it into the net.
But fortune favoured us. And once again we were indebted to JLAA for setting up that late winner with really excellent control on the left, tormenting the defense just as he did at Carlisle.
While Barnett is getting full fitness, I would prefer to see Akpa-Akpro start.

**** me! We've got more midfielders than I thought. Is Mkandawire classed as a midfielder because he sure as hell wasn't a defender?

Fair play to him though, he has a decent agent seeing as now sunning himself in the States.
