Following Town's last 2 defeats, they travel to Accrington on Tuesday night. In their last 6 games Accrington have won 3, drawn 1 and lost 2.
they have won away at Southend and won at home to Burton, also winning at home to Oxford. a draw at home to Cheltenham and defeats away to Luton and away to Plymouth. 7 games ago they crashed 5-1 at home to the cobbler or Northamton Town.
in the league they are 15th but worryingly have scored just 6 fewer goals than Town but have conceded 53 to Town's 24.
after Shrewsbury's latest 2 car crashes we need to be on our guard against a team capable of scoring and beating top clubs. one game at a time Town, Floreat Salopia!

Who said they were taking them for granted.? With all due respects its pretty obvious with the last two defeats Town will not take them for granted.

Accy have improved a lot since Coleman returned there, although The Crown Ground (or whatever they call it these days) is one of our 'lucky' grounds I think most Salop fans are wise enough to know that we shouldn't take anything for granted in this game!

We are away from home. Anyone taking things for granted needs to check our away record and then think again.

So your the one taking a win for granted. Have you read the title of your thread. Talk about tempting fate.

I think I can confidently state that no one is taking Accrington for granted. Don't know why it's even being suggested after recent games.

Shouldn't take anybody for granted the only ''mugs'' will end up being the ones who do. But there is an opportunity for Shrewsbury fans to make a difference, take a good following and we could be in a very large minority or even in the majority as Accrington have been struggling to get attendances of a 1,000 for Tuesday night games. With as little as 919 for a meeting with the league leaders last week.

I probably used the wrong phrase. In my cobblers thread I tried to highlight they were the in form team to beat. IMO they still are.
in this thread I have tried to set out that accy are capable of scoring goals and beating top clubs like Southend away and Burton at home and recently. No doubting MM and the lads know all this.
sometimes one wonders whether it worth while putting you head above the trenches on here! FS

Driving to this, but might not be able to leave Shrewsbury until 5, taking rush hour into the picture, is that going to be realistic or not?

My prediction is Accrington Stanley 0-0 Shrewsbury Town. Why do you keep predicting 0-0 everytime one of these threads is started.

We NEED to win, however it happens. Another game without a win will put even more pressure on the team but a win will put us top once more.

Driving to this, but might not be able to leave Shrewsbury until 5, taking rush hour into the picture, is that going to be realistic or not? You could just about make it, but if you go up the A5/A483 way there are major roadworks around the junction where the A483 Wrexham road meets up with the A55 Chester by pass and that might hold you up, especially at rush hour.

Let for Carlisle from Stoke at 4pm and made it for KO (just, but then there was a lorry fire at Penrith that held us up 45 mins on M6). Anyway I think you should be ok baring it mind its not as far as Carlisle. You can even add on our 45 min delay going to Carlisle for the time coming from Shrews and you'd still ok

Form in last two games and injuries to key players sadly points to another defeat.

It is understood if Town lose , they will be considering taking legal action against certain supporters under the ancient law of tempting fate.

If they do, I'm going to plead hideous corpus.

It is believed if the case is heard in a criminal court it carries a maximum sentence of watching AFC Telford for 3 seasons.
