Does he want a new contract. Sorry but that performance today lacked desire.

he is not a winger and to judge him when he is played out of position is unfair.

Whatever position the manager plays him, he should at least show more effort than he did today.

We will not see the best of this lad if the ball is constantly played 40 feet over his head.....

Wasn't at his best but Southern didn't provide him with much cover today and didn't show enough for the ball. Would like to seem him playing the role Vernon was in today, less defensive responsibility. Definitely has the ability to create chances.

Left wing clearly isn't his position. Arguably three of our starting midfield was played out of position today, plus Southern with little game time behind him, it was hardly surprising we got over run
That said fair play to Northampton they worked very hard to close us down in midfield

Jordan Clark was probably the 9th or 10th worst player in our side today.
To single him out for criticism is ridiculous.

Wasn't at the match today but thought that Clarke was one of the brighter sparks last weekend, as likely as anyone to create something for us. It doesn't seem that the manager agrees but I can see him flourishing over the next couple of seasons.

JC like the rest of the team was below his best today but playing wide on the worst side of a very poor pitch didn't help. Thought Northampton also got after him and he struggled to get into the game. Ironically I thought he was starting to come into it a bit more in the run up to half time and it was his quick feet which created the space for demetriou to cross for the late chance for vernon. Think he has real potential and wouldn't write him off after today. More concerned with Southern who was dead on his feet early in second half and the limited impact Barnet has made since arriving

Clarke needs to play where Vernon is, just behind the strikers.
I feel we aren't getting the best out of him out wide.

Clarke needs to play where Vernon is, just behind the strikers. I feel we aren't getting the best out of him out wide. You may be right... although he wasn't playing out wide exactly but on the left side of a diamond which has slightly different requirements. Make no mistake he had an awful game yesterday but has been getting quite a few plaudits since he got back in the team.

Astonishing thread. No he played and though f it I don't want to stay. Chameleon get a grip. He's a young lad with bags of potential finding his way. Confidence is massive when you're a young lad and unsure if you start etc so when you get on sometimes you try TOO hard. I'd take a closer look at the week to week performances of the likes of Vernon. As for Southern yesterday .......

We've changed style over the last few games - we've gone more direct and thats not suiting Clarky or indeed the team as a whole. Would prefer us to go back to 5-3-2 (Gayle at RWB with Wildig in midfield and Clark behind the front 2).
He's one of the most entertaining players on our books - madness to suggest he's not putting in 100%.

Reminds me of the criticism Wildig used to get when he played wide right. Wide left or left side of a diamond - neither is Clark's position.
There were problems all over the pitch on Saturday and Clark was far from being the biggest one. A fragile looking back four, a midfield diamond that was too easily overrun by Northampton's pressing game and a front two that didn't play as a pair and was too static - they were far bigger concerns than a young player out of position having a poor game.

Really rate Clark.
All young players have bad games, just move on and back him.

Hope he plays in the correct position tonight - and I think he will - and notches one. I can then watch chameleon change colour.

Anyone seen Chameleon or is he in camouflage wear ? Loads better performance by the team overall and I thought Clark did great.Looked A far more balanced team but clearly front two just isn't working. Collins and Akpro is the future.
