Barnett and Colins are far to similar. Is Barnett what we really needed, when we are crying out for guile and pace up front. I thought Jean Louis Akpro made a difference when he came on, shame his finishing doesn't match his approach play. Southern just steady and not creative enough to play in the centre of the park. Unfortunately sides with aspirations to finish champions, do not lose back to back games at this time of the season, our away game at Accrington on Tuesday is now massive.

Did Collins do ANYTHING today?

The most frustrating thing for me is that Barnett has been brought in to further improve the squad yet we have completely changed tactic and formation to accommodate him. Surly if we are bringing players in then they need to be types that fit our style of play. I don't feel Barnett fits that.

We have changed our tactics whenever he played so haven't yet seen him in our 'normal' style of play.

The way they played in that first half was worrying.
Hoofing it into the wind over and over to strikers who hardly won anything.
Both Barnett and Collins looked poor today but what if we'd played the ball through in front of them or to their feet instead!?
One thing I'd like to see is Collins stop ****ing b***hing and complaining at his team mates every time something doesn't quite go his way.. That one cross from Demetriou was on a plate for him, he just needed to get his head on it, I didn't see any of his team mates gesticulating and shouting at him though!?

Just going by the fact we havnt played the formation or our normal passing game that has served us very well since he arrived! I'm not slating him, it's not his fault we are now hoofing balls up to him.

Maybe time to rest Collo and try the two French lads together on Tues... ??
Crazy? Maybe... It's an option though.

Very disappointed with both strikers today, movement poor, lack of pace.

Think the switch from 3 at the back hasn't helped. Don't think introducing Barnett has necessarily changed the way we play think him coming in has coincided with NKP's injury.
With a back 4 we don't knock it around with the centre backs and end up looking to get it forward quicker so we don't drag any of the opposition out of midfield.
We do miss the legs to stretch teams but I think Barnett can offer that if we are getting the ball in the right place in the final third with a bit of time.
Credit to Northampton who put us under pressure right from the off.
No need to panic just yet.

Poor starting formation. Moving Woods out wide right and further forward just wasn't going to work. No-one in centre mid was capable of retaining position. I'm amazed that Southern survived the half time cull--well off the pace. If ever there was a case for Wildig starting, today was the day.

No going to hammer the forwards with the shower of sh*te of a midfield we had today! Terrible!
