The category seating seems to changed before you all complain. It appears on the leaflets handed out today that blocks 16 and 2 are the only Category A blocks. Were blocks 10,14,15,17,18 classed as Category A this season? If so then quite a few will make a saving next season.

Fair enough, perhaps it was an old stadium plan I found when I searched.

Thought some might be interested, I rang the ticket office today about renewing my season ticket and asked if they come confirm the correct cost. I sit in the west stand with my daughter and her friend (both now 12) and was told that the prices for juniors was being reviewed. I was told to ring back later in the the week. Maybe some of they previous comments on this thread have made their way to MW.

I think most of us only look at the prices from our own point of view. If there's a discrepancy, I'm sure Matt will take a look at it.

? There's a reason it's spelt that way but it far too long to go into! I will update later in the week if it's not officially confirmed on the website.

From what i've read, existing ST holders do not have to pay £120 in Category B or £165 in Category A.
“They will pay the family stand renewal price for your seat for where you sit, but new families wishing to attend will be encouraged to purchase tickets in the family stand."

So am I right in thinking that because my daughter (16) and I had a Season Tickets in block 17 for this season she pays £115 and I pay £285?

Spot on ipswichshrews.
I wasn't very happy when I read and realised what I thought I was going to have to pay to stay in Block 14. I e-mailed Matt yesterday lunchtime and had a very quick response reassuring me that the club was not penalising existing STH's who don't go in the Family Stand and that they would be sending out a communication asap to relay those fears of supporters like myself.
So indeed well done Matt for the quick response to myself via e-mail (I'm sure he had quite a few to contend with) and for getting an article up so quickly.

I don't see the 16-18 year olds being any different to 8-15 year olds. You are already a loyal STFC customer with a ST and so will not be expected to move to gain the price advantage.

Good the club has clarified this and the internal processes for releasing info to fans is being looked at. Great Matt has responded so quick, but ideally getting info right and clear the first time would be helpful. There might well be people who have the original flyer with the old info on, who don't read the message board/website who this info needs forwarding onto
Also not totally clear what happens if a "new" non season ticket holder wants to get a junior and adult season ticket. Do they only get the cheaper price if they go in the family stand, or do they get a choice? The word "encourage" in the web site article is a bit vague, and hints that a two level price structure might still exist

My understanding is that new ST holders don't get a choice. If they wish to get a ST at the preferential rate then they have to take it in the Family Stand.
However, I do wonder if a family have been attending in a certain part of the ground for a number of years (not Family Stand) and who didn't previously have a season ticket, will be looked at sympathetically.

Speaking as someone who did sod all but moan on here, many thanks to those who took time to resolve this issue. It's now secured the club two season tickets next year.

I do hope this is the start of a packed family stand that's makes some noise like at the gay meadow rather than getting new young fans used to sitting down quietly and behaving themselves.

Thanks! Hope the latter half of your post is what happens. Would assume there are a reasonable number of people that go to a few games a season and sit with friends and relatives in non family stand areas, and encouraging them to get a season ticket must be the priority not saying the deal is only their if they sit in the family stand I'm also not totally convinced the age range they are going for in the family stand is quite right, but guess time will tell

Good to get clarification on this so quickly, well done Matt..... One thing Matt does say 'juniors can renew at Family Stand prices' so adults I presume will see a £10 increase in the ST price in the West Stand and other category B areas, which if so is quite acceptable in my view...... “Our intention has always been to allow juniors to renew their current season ticket seat at the family stand prices.
