Really pleased for The Bulls. A friendly in July would be nice. I don't bother with musical chairs usually, but I'd make an exception in this case.

According to local news they will have to start two levels below where they were when the old club folded.

So they drop United from there name and everything else goes back to normal! normal stadium, normal fans etc. but all them people that was owed money can do 1. seems very wrong to me, and im not having ago at Hereford fans just the system in general.

Well, they'll be a new club starting way down the pyramid . The people who ran up the debts are gone. They will only have the same stadium because it didn't belong to the old club. Having the same fans is irrelevant. Don't see how it could be any different - you can't pin the old club's debt on the new entity, and you can't say the city and people of Hereford aren't entitled to try to have a football club ever again.

Perhaps if you had kept up to date with what went on down there you wouldn't be so cynical. Sometimes we don't appreciate how lucky we are Well done to the fans you fought one hell of a battle and won Good luck to Hereford F.C. I echo Jaytee a pre-season friendly would be good

The debt has nothing to do with recent events, just another badly managed club overspending and leaving others out of pocket

Been to Hereford once, utter dogs arse of a place.
Best really for all concerned that they stay in the lower leagues.
Fair play on setting a new club but will stop short of wishing you luck I'm afraid.

The debt has nothing to do with recent events, just another badly managed club overspending and leaving others out of pocket A good point. Hereford have been royally screwed over by the people who over last summer and they have no place in football (sadly they will end up elsewhere) but the debt that was built up was during Keyte's reign. Yes he is a hate figure now but no one was complaining when he was handing out large contracts and spending well beyond their means for a few seasons. The most ridiculous was when they paid money for a striker from Telford (someone Sharp) and I'm sure it was around the same time that fans were being asked to make donations towards paying bills, paying transport etc. It didnt take a genius to work out it wasnt going to end well. Anyway its good news for Hereford and I have no doubt that they will steamroll through the leagues in the next few seasons, the challenge of course will be when they reach the conference. However I suspect many couldnt care less about that at the moment and will just be grateful to have a team to support. It will be interesting to see if they see their long term future away from Edgar Street, very much in an out of town ground style that we have been mocked for.

Thank you for the support guys, it's been tough 'season' for Hereford fans. FA rules say we need to be two leagues below where the old club folded. From the Southern League (tier 7) down to the Midlands Alliance (tier 9). However, if we can twist an arm or two we might be placed in tier 8 as our away attendances could be a health and safety nightmare It's going to be a hell of a ride, but I'll hope we'll be back.

I remember their fans behaving like animals at our place and taking the rivalry to stupid extremes but the reality is they're genuine honest fans have been shafted by bad management and total disregard for how a FL club should be run. I really do hope they make it back to a decent level and at least get a fan run club the people of Hereford can be proud of.

However would rather see Town play Hereford than mutant non-league/hobby clubs like Stevenage, Crawley, MK Don$ or places with hollier than thou supporters who get ideas WELL above their station (Cheltenham and Yeovil).
Also add to that list Mansfield....grim town full of picket line crossing thugs with Stewards acting like Gestapo officers.

Been keeping tabs on things - the last few months have been amazing to watch, even found myself getting wound up at some of the tripe being spouting by the Essex boys.
Think the local MP and Jim Keynon have both played blinders as has Jon Hale in not wadding in and having a pop at the previous owners. Laughed my head off when Keyte tried to blame GT a few days ago.
Best of luck - hope to be playing (and beating ) you again soon.

The previous owners were obviously a load of crooks only in it for self gain BUT they arn't the ones responsible for the debt and financial mess the club got into.... Overspending by previous owners and insufficient support from the fans / City (well the potential fans that didn't turn up)

Overspending by previous owners and insufficient support from the fans / City (well the potential fans that didn't turn up) Oh that's not in any doubt - Keyte dropped some real clangers with contract offers, buying back the leases and having a large coaching staff. Have been told he relied heavily on the "I'm a local boy" line a lot.
Thing is with Hereford a lot of local people "support" other clubs and are usually quick to find reasons not to go - "I won't watch non-league football", "I don't like Turner", "Too Expensive" etc. Much like Salop in the mid 90's where people couldn't be bothered to turn up unless it was for a big cup match.

Being a proud Salopian shipped to the furthest reaches of Herefordshire, (for employment reasons as we so often are...), for some twenty years, (now repatriated thankfully from a football stance). I am so pleased to see that football will be played again at Edgar Street. I only hope that the people of Hereford will get behind their new club, put some money in the coffers, and who knows, we may have the enviable task of rendering our blue and amber scarves a'flutter along the A49 once again, for the trip to meet the old foe! Good luck HFC.

Old pic of Mr Beadle in that link above - must have been during his time at Newport where he was trying to blend in with the locals by dressing like a memeber of Goldie Lookin Chain!
