I would have taken a draw there but that is a big, big win. Well done lads.

Yes!! just returned... and it's a goal for the Frenchman!
Plus Wobblers wobbling... and a weak referee at Stevenage allowing the brutal Oxford defensive thugs to kick lumps out of the home side, while sneaking two themselves.
Can't wait to read their message board.
Full time at Wycombe.
Hold on lads.

Huge result. To win the league these are the games you have to WIN. Would have been delighted with point but to grab all three is simply wonderful.

Cracking result that, well done boys.
What was Southern sent of for?

Yes! Top of the table.
Not our most creative, but a clean sheet, and sometimes we need to "win ugly".
Although not that ugly, Keith Southern... for despite what the Stevenage manager and fans may think, that isn't the Shrewsbury way.
Well done Jean-Louis.

Battling result and fair play to AA - must have been disappointed to not make the starting 11 but came on and grabbed us a win
Sending off sounded like a daft challenge though - dont need to make things hard for ourselves by getting cheap red cards

Would have taken a point at half time.
That will give the team a lot of confidence for future away games.
Another clean sheet too, how many is that now? Credit to Leutwiler as it sounds like he made a couple of very good saves.
Next up, Southend at home which will be difficult.
Looking at our fixtures in feb, there is no reason why we can't win them all.

But if the 57% Town possession, that the BBC shows, is true... even though we weren't at our most creative, it shows we bossed the middle of the park and deserved the win and clear a tricky hurdle.
Plus we had a decent shout for a penalty for handball.
So well done Town, a good professional job completed to bring cheer to us all (including the absent Welo and Andy)... and put us proudly at the top of the table.
And JLAA, with today's winner following on from his good goal against Wigan in midweek, will give MM some very welcome selection quandaries.

I like your confidence for February Foz!
The news about Mangan could be worse too. A six week absence isn't good, but he could be back for the final race to the finishing line.

Credit to Leutwiler as it sounds like he made a couple of very good saves. MM adamant that no saves of note were made by our keeper today. Sounded pretty awkward during the post match. Anyone at the game confirm??

Great result. Huge confidence booster as well winning an away game against a side with such a good home record.

Great win . The game was an awful watch it really was , and the win was undeserved , but that's the first time we've won a really tight , scrappy game away from home . Maybe we've turned a corner . Hopefully we never have to go there again , what a shocking place .

I sighed when Akpa Akpro came on... I feel a fool! Get in.. Me too. I looked at my friends and 'like he's going to do anything!' Mind you, I don't mind feeling a fool every week if that's what it takes!

Anyone at the game confirm?? Yes I would say three excellent saves. Two in the first half and one in the second is what I remember.

A dire game in awful conditions. Neither team created much, so a mistake was always likely to decide it. Newport's defending for the goal was awful, but well done to JLAA for his persistence and a calm finish. Glad he's got a goal to do his confidence some good. I know it's not an opinion shared by everyone, but I think he's a real asset to the squad. A tremendous athlete who can gallop straight through the middle of an opposition defence in a way that no-one else in the squad can match.

F*** me it was cold on that open stand yesterday! Good day out in Newport yesterday and the locals I came across were very friendly, one elderly Newport supporter kindly escorted us to the ground from the Carpenters pub and the Lamb and Ye Olde Murungen House were decent watering holes too! Enjoyed my day out apart from freezing my bits off
