Whoops - Spelling issue with that one
""He recently played in Premier League two weeks ago and I thought we’d lost the opportunity to bring him here but asked to be kept up with the satiation "
Anyway, hope he bags us 5-7 goals between now and end of season and secures us promotion.
Just put on Twitter... could we have a all french front line this season for a game?
Also was there ever a time where we played a all foreign front two?

Mixed feelings from Sunderland. Some are not impressed at all, others while admitting he's raw, feel he could improve and be something. www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/mandron.1027156/ Apparently he was poor at Fleetwood, but he is young, and maybe, now he is a little older, Shrewsbury will prove to be the fertile soil where he can blossom... (an unfortunate metaphor considering the state of the pitch!) But any enthusiasm about the signing is completely deflated by the news that Mangan's knee problem is causing more concern, and the pleasure of seeing him and Collins together, as we have for major chunks of the last two matches, resulting in six goals, is likely to be a short-lived one. With that pairing up front, I couldn't see anything stopping us powering to promotion and the League Two title. But if Mango is sidelined, we need somebody else to do what he does: get into the box, run at defenders, combine closely and cleverly with Collins... and keep a cool head, and a quick brain, and put the chances away. If it's all just left to Collins, we may face another goal drought like the one we had prior to the Hartlepools game... and that will make us just one contender in a promotion dogfight. So fingers crossed that there is good news re Mangan, and that he won't be needing surgery. But welcome to the Meadow, young Mikael... sorry if the reason for your arrival has left me shrouded in gloom. Hopefully your career will really take off here, you will find the joy of playing football for a winning side, and, while advancing your own prospects, you will prove to be just the man we need for the job.

That Sunderland thread is positive about him... Let's hope he has a great loan period here.

Yeah, mixed opinions on that Sunderland thread but then Premier League fans can be the most impatient ...
Let's hope he makes a big impact here.

Real shame about Mangan, looks like trying to nurse the injury rather than opting for surgery first of has backfired. A chance for JLAA and Vernon to step up to the plate.

Agree that the lose of mangan could be crucial. Lets do what is necessary to get automatic promotion & not worry being champions, though of course it would be great. Look longterm - Get mangan fully fit and available for the run in from say easter, hopefully he will be over the knee problem, signs a new contract and strong enough to compete in league 1.....and all ends happily ever after!

There's a Dutch spaniard and a Bosnian No Lopez and Atajic were at the club at different times last season. Lopez didn't do too badly but Atajic... what a waste of space he was!

MM makes a point of this lads pace. And I think that's something we've missed when Mangan is out. I think lack of pace is something we've missed all season.

Food for thought: Has MM now made more loan signings than GT did in 2011/12?

And I don't think many people had a problem with the number of loans in 11/12. That said, after last year I can't get very excited about promising young strikers from Prem clubs...hope he does well though.

Lopez didn't do too badly but Atajic... what a waste of space he was! Asamoah ever play with anyone else? Glynn Hurst? What are we counting - I'm sure Mcmenamin played with one or both of them! or how about Kris Bright?

Town had Van Den Broek and Bright. Although it may well have been a 451. It'll do for me though!

Don't think anyone had a problem with Turner's use of the loan market in his first two seasons. Much like this year they just supplemented a reasonably settled squad when needed
As to this signing does look like a player we have been tracking, so not too much of a panic move. Possibly offers more direct pace than we have at the moment, just hope he has an eye for goal too

Good luck to the lad. We definitely lack pace up front and perhaps he could offer a different threat to Mango.
Still, as others have said, it's crucial that Mangan is fit enough to still play some part in what remains of the season. Sadly, I just can't see either JLAA or Vernon matching his goal threat or forging the kind of partnership he has with Collins.

Reviews do seem mixed. Can understand him being seen as not a bad option to bring on in the last 20 minutes of tough games to use his pace against ageing central defenders; would not be good signal to the others if he has been brought in to start.
I hope that we try and give Vernon some game time to see if he can play with Collo - he is with us next season as well. At his age if the message is "sorry you don't cut it in League 2" he needs to move on asap.
