Through to the Aussie Open semi for the fifth time. Played some sublime tennis, back fit and on his game.

Very good win against one of the few players he has a negative score against, who also would have been full of confidence after beating Nadal for the first time in 9 years and is coached by a man who knows Murray's game better than anyone. Brilliant performance - that second set was top class - littered with excellent shots. Certainly looks fresh, sharp and motivated, so credit to him and Mauresmo after the way last year panned out.
Although he will be the outsider against Djokovic (assuming he wins, which isn't a foregone conclusion), there seems to be a certain resemblance to his Wimbledon win in this tournament: drawn in a tough part of the draw alongside Federer and Nadal, both of whom have been knocked out, and a potential final against Djokovic. If Murray were to win, that'd mean he'd be just short a French Open of a career slam. Shame he'd need a Nadal injury to do it though!

He won't beat whoever he plays in the final. You'll be right eventually! Top performance. Got a feeling he might go all the way this time. His serve is way better than it's been since his back op. But he's going to have to be more ruthless on those break points in the final.

Well done reaching the Final Andy,
No thanks to Scotland or the UK that he is a Tennis Champion though! That credit has to go to the Coaching school in Barcelona and his family for him going there to forge a succesful future in Tennis, if he stopped in the uk he would likely have been an also ran!

Fantastic tennis being played in this final! Breathtaking! Lots of breaks, Djokovic won first set on tie-break, Murray just taken second also on tie-break.

You'll find this is true of many sports. It would be strange for the UK to provide the level of coaching and support required to produce a tennis champion given the few quality players produced over the years. You also need to take the climate into account. In Spain or Florida outside tennis can be played most of year round. UK players make do with a few months of clement weather at best. Quite an amazing final. The quality of tennis on show is incredible. Murray showing amazing strength of character to keep apace Novak. Long way to go!

This is some sort of collapse by Murray...................1 set each and Murray 2-0 up............just lost after winning 1 game out of the last 12!

Thought it was a very odd final. First two sets were epic and could have gone either way. Then Murray won the second set tie break, then broke in the third set he looked really on top
From then on though he seemed to fall to pieces, muttering and talking to himself and making lots of mistakes. Don't know if he just run out of energy or his mind went - very disappointing though after the first two sets it was a bit of a none event end

Credit to ND though, really top performance and shows why he's the best in the world. Hope he completes the career slam before he retires, if he plays this well into May and Rafa doesn't click he might have a chance at RG.

Told you he wouldn't win. I wish I would have listened. Would have put a lump on the Serb. Any other good tennis tips or are you just one of these guys who are still sore because a Scotsman said he wasn't an England football supporter?

Don't know if he just run out of energy or his mind went - very disappointing though after the first two sets it was a bit of a none event end Funny how the mutterings, histrionics and outbursts from both players affected their performances differently: Murray lost his rhythm and got into a rut whereas Djokovic found his A game and forgot all about his "injuries". Classic final for a couple of sets then petered out as a spectacle. The "fab four" are back where they belong and Murray will be happy with his week's work despite losing today.
