Very odd decision to loan out Wildig and bring in an older player on loan - why not use what we already have instead of coughing up for an older/temporary replacement for Wes. Because Wildig is not a replacement for Wes, two different players. Griffith or Mcallister would have been replacements but obviously are no longer with us which makes me wonder if this deal has only come about since the injury.

Good luck Aaron,
Can't help but feel we'll have seen that last of him. Great shame.

Good luck Aaron, Can't help but feel we'll have seen that last of him. Great shame. I am certain we have, not had a look in at all and out of contract in summer so a loan to Kiddy a good move for him. Hope it works out for him there and if it does he can maybe get fixed up there or a League side next season.

He is good but who would you drop to give him a game? Weso and Woods have both had long periods of good form and Lawrence is always going to be ahead of him. He is just a victim of our success (so far) this season. My only disappointment is that we couldn't sort out a proper loan till the end of the season. Once (if) Woods moves on in the summer his stock may rise but he needs to be playing regularly somewhere from here on in. So where will Keith Southern fit if he signs! Utter Sh*te Mellon! I think I'll trust Mellon over you given how this season has panned out so far

Been let down badly this season I just hope he can get his career back on track!

Was Wildig initially injured when Mellon came in. Interesting view if you are asking who has let down who badly here. Mellon always said he wants a squad and anyone not playing needs to be ready/professional in their approach. So if Wildig has been moping around since he got fit and expecting his previous reputation to get him picked I would suspect he's let himself down. Past performance must count for nothing with Mellon as he will have seen him in training and you have to ask what Wildig's attitude has been like as well. I don't think Mellon will want any of his players to fail so a move out is best thing if it gets Wildig match time and back up and playing to come back and prove something. He did this with Grandison, done it with Ellis and Gayle seems to be getting a run again now.

You probably more connected than me then so why didn't he go to one of them instead of dropping to the Conference? I know he lives that way as someone on another discussion or maybe this one but is it worth dropping a division for convrnience?

These squads were a tad mixed with experienced and junior players but there weren't many goals or clean sheets being found. So perhaps the likes of Wildig, McAllister and Robinson set their own path with their performances?

Goldson went on loan somewhere for a bit last season and look at him now!

Not necessarily his decision. just seen this on the harriers web page “The manager told me about Kidderminster’s interest last week and, as it’s quite local to my home in Hereford, it was a move that suited me. " Doesn't sound like he was forced into signing, he neednt have said anything at all. The situation of having not played may have forced his hand but I cant say I would have used him instead of Weso, LL or Woodsy so why would the manager?

I would hope he comes back to us fit and showing MM he is worth keeping on.

Why all the hand wringing? Without being behind the scenes to know the full goings on day to day I wouldn't presume that Mellon has some sort of downer on the lad. He did ok in a crap team playing crap. Hardly the stuff of legends.

Yes there could be positives here. If Wildig sees this as an opportunity to dig in, get to peak physical condition with match time... and show what a good player he really is... he could yet return to MM's plans.
Certainly there has seemed a policy in keeping him "local" ... so there may be a clue there.
Remember it wasn't long ago that we loaned Connor out!

None of this TWOTS bollox. we do know what is happening, Wildig is going to Kiddy on loan for one month. How it pans out from there, well nobody knows . When MM knows, we will know as regards AW' s future. I hope his future is with us, but then again I am a big Wildig fan.

Yes any gossipy pm's gratefully received!
I'm a fan of Wildig but he's rapidly becoming a legendary player in some people's eyes, which I don't get. First season he was ok, neat, tidy L2 player who played 13 times. Next season he played 24 times so hardly a key player but did ok at a level up than before, but still fairly average. Last season was his best, 33 appearances and impressed in a poor team. But was he any better than Summerfield? Not really (and we dont miss him). As I say, I like him as a player and I thought he'd kick on this season, but he's not the creative genius some folk are making out. He may 'do a Bradshaw' and flourish elsewhere but his past performaces, stats and our current league position hardly make this a travesty.

It was always likely for him to go out on loan because like Griffith and McAllister he's not been anywhere near central to Mellons plans so it is hardly privileged information. I expected it before hhearing rumours on Saturday as did many people I know who support Town. I cant say I'm even a semi regular user here so not seen much of the snippets, I dont know what TWOTS bollox is either. I know what bolloxs are though!

It's interesting reading some of the views on Wildig. He certainly wasn't this popular when he was subbed off at Coventry on New Year's Day when we won. I'm a fan of his and think he can add something to the squad, but I just can't see who he would play ahead of at the moment. As has previously been said, he may suit us better should we make League 1 and he would have more time on the ball.

He's still very young at 22 (same age as Goldson) and I think he can improve a hell of a lot.
Better than Weso,Woods,Lawrence and Grant? Nope.
He is a good option to have on the bench though but Mellon's judgement so far has been spot on so I will trust it.
By listening to the interview, MM sound very unimpressed by his fitness which could be why he is no where near the team. A good spell at Kiddy could force him back into the fold, stranger things have happened in football.
