So... who's not going to be prepared to pay the extra couple of quid and decide to sit in the rain?

So... who's not going to be prepared to pay the extra couple of quid and decide to sit in the rain? Me! Every penny counts and will lead to "Hillarious" pictures in the Shrop Star of people like me stood in the rain looking fed up/delighted (dependant on score).

So... who's not going to be prepared to pay the extra couple of quid and decide to sit in the rain? Speaking from personal knowledge, as I lived in Newport for 3 years back in the early '90s, I have gone for covered seating for me plus 2. Rodney Parade is one of those grounds that somehow has a completely different weather system to the surrounding area, probably due to it's close proximity to the tidal River Usk running into the Severn Estuary? I can remember going to one Rugby match there and it rained all match but back in the town centre it was bone dry when I walked back after the match?! Ordered mine online for the wife to collect later in the week, but I don't know if it's allocated seating or sit anywhere? Anyone know?

Crikey, Newport coming up as well. It doesn't get much easier does it, Burton, Luton then Newport away (& Wycombe at home). Looking forward to a nice 'easy' run in to the end of the season

Play at Rodney Parade the same ground as Newport Gwent Dragons a lot of development has gone on there since I was last there in the early 90's. Nice ground won't be the worst you've ever been to.

Been to the Newport athletics stadium twice. Once for a friendly during the Ratcliffe era and for our cup game there a few seasons back. The athletics stadium was miles out of town but Rodney Parade is quite literally opposite the town centre on the other side of the River Usk and the Millennium footbridge that crosses it and only being a short walk from the railway station as well... looking forward to this one!

Not sure how many we have sold but we should get these sold out now and take a big following to Newport for another massive game.
COME ON YOU BLUES!

Let's just hope Newport don't fix their leaky defence.

Difficult one to call this one - They clearly are a good side, but hit a bad patch in recent weeks. Could be another potential banana skin, wonder which Newport team will turn up next week?

I fancied this one as I've never been to Newport, but £70 return on the train from Nottingham is a bit too high for me.

Only 450 sold so far.
Disappointing that. Would have expected this to be a sell out easily.
Come on Town fans, get those tickets snapped up and back the boys in a massive game in our season.

No reason for people to rush to buy them, sales will increase exponentially as the week progresses I imagine.

I think that's quite decent at this stage. I'll be buying 7 or so later today and I imagine we'll sell out by Saturday. Let's hope we get the result!

I'll be getting four later too.
Don't know about selling out but anywhere around 800 would be a decent following.

Will end up taking around 700 I reckon, not a bad turnout but certainly should be looking at more really and probably is a reality check on the size of the club.
But what I would say is dont discount the reputation Newport are building up that might put people off. Some of their fans were hardly angels at our place, the internet was full of pictures from the game against Portsmouth with a large police presence and fans being escorted around. To put it in comparison we took 1,700 to Burton, a lot of which went by train because people know they can drink in Brum and then Burton without any hassle. Go to Newport on the train and your likely to be met by a large amount of police and stuck in a pub where you'll be surrounded by police. Hardly an enjoyable away day
