Grant done more than enough imo to warrant a 12 - 18 month contract.
Whilst it's true more goals would be nice, surely the main issue goal wise is the likes of Collins being greedy / poor decision making / balloonin the ball into the stands.
If we had taken just the nailed on chances this season, never mind the half chances, we would be clear by a considerable margin at the top of this league!

Collins should have 20 already . Oxford away should have been 6-0 at half time . His desicion making is his poorest attribute .

Kee joins Mansfield. Good signing for them imo. He's still only 24 years old.

Mason Springthorpe on loan from Everton to Fleetwood? I thought he had been released by Everton? After all he was playing for Ellesmere Rangers quite recently and then left to join Mkt Drayton or am I talking b0ll0x?

Ian Sharps to Mansfield apparently. With Billy Lee that would seem a decent bit of business for them, not stunning signings but both reliable performers at this level.

Tubbs goes to Pompey on a 2 and a half year deal. This really makes my blood boil. They were in administration, with huge debt yet can afford to fork out on Tubbs. His wages certainly wont be cheap and given the last transfer fee they wont have sold him cheaply.

I'm past caring now , some clubs have debt equivalent to that of a small country but what the f.ck . Its modern day football what with debt , madly insane owners , Blatter and suchlike and it ain't going to improve any time soon .

To be fair to the current Support Trust led owners, they are now debt free, Tubbs was released from his contract hence free and attendences can probably support them paying wages at the top end of L2 powers. I agree, its incredibly annoying competing with sides who simply wiped the slate clean after irresponsible spending then do the same again. In this case I think Pompey are trying to live within their means, I find Bury far more offensive at the moment, a car crash waiting to happen...

This made me look twice - but thankfully it is a Clark with an e! BBC Humberside Sport: Jordan Clarke is currently undergoing a medical with a view to completing a move to Sc***horpe United from Coventry City. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/30514102

As others have alluded to already. It's harsh to berate Pompey for their signing of Tubbs. They're run by a trust and work well within their budget now. They just have a good budget because they have incredible attendances.

As per usual most of the transfers will happen in the last few days Which is something that I don't want to happen with us! Remember when GT left us with no time to strengthen the squad? I still don't understand why he didn't leave at the start of that particular transfer period, but cest la vie. I'm hoping that if we are destined to lose some players, Woods - Goldson etc, that MM would already have more gentleman agreements with potential replacements. Goldson has already shown that he wants to play football and not sit on some Spurs development squad, so hopefully all such deals can be delayed until the end of the season where we can hopefully say we could offer league 1 football.

Was it Spurs or Swansea that Goldson got the development squad offer from - I know they said Spurs during the Sky match, but I seem to recall Swansea ?

Spurs have been looking at Connor for a while now Shrewsbury youngster Connor Goldson followed by TottenhamBut it was supposedly Swansea who he turned down at the end of last season. Swansea Deal

Swansea DealMany thanks - I've never been that close to rumours. It took me over 6 months to get to understand the Paul Wimbleton rumour properly in the early 90s - I've heard two different ones on Andy Robinson which are probably consistent but to me sounded completely different - short attention span problem maybe.

But the Swansea rumour is something that I definitely recall hearing last summer

On the commentary of the Luton game Sky said Goldson had been subject of a bid from Spurs for their under 21 side. Have to say it was news to me that one

Two weeks to go and I'm really confused / interested to see how it pans out for us.
Andy Robinson - if there is any truth in the rumours I've heard there is no way he is going to be playing for us again; on the official side MM said he may retire through injury but he's on trial at Crawley - what is going on ?
Dave Mac - Stevenage announce they'e signed him but it's then retracted. MM says he's training with us and part of the squad up for selection - no more talk of being available for loan to keep match fit as we had before.
Griffith - kept other midfielders off the bench perhaps, had one cracking game but didn't feature much at all - off to get regular football; I trust at no financial cost to us - but why did we get him in the first place, wat has changed (given that we have had no new arrivals except Bobby Grant who is a very different player)?
Passley - rumour that he is coming back, but why when Gayle did well against Fulham and Passley faded after hist first match. As for the idea that we may get Grimmer back - wishful thinking surely, no idea how can that be when he's getting game time with Fulham and would cost a pretty penny.
Wildig - proven league 1 playmaker but cannot even get on the bench. Is this why we're happy for Mac and Griffith to go ? Uf that is the case I'm surprised MM has not talked him up as he did earlier in the season when we were looking to loan him out.
Burton - rumours becoming stronger, but too early to sell - hopefully that was the rationale behind the we are not a selling club article earlier this week.
Goldson / Woods - cannot see them moving on in this window and fortunately the rumours are dying down, but who knows ?
Striker - do we need one or do we need midfield to chip in / provide more ?
With MM I'm sensing a master plan behind all of this, and I'm looking forward to see what it is.

You may want to get excited but I think that it will be a damp squib with just trimming of the squad ie Robinson, McAllister, Griffith and possibly Wildig on their way out.
