If we are looking at taking a punt on another striker then how about a player who has been mentioned on this board in the past and who certainly is in a rich vein of form at the moment..... Joe Gormley www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30368512

Wasn't there mention in the summer that they'd looked at the one of the Irish players and decided not to pursue?

Ah yes, Liam Boyce - have been looking out for him but he has not really hit the headlines playing for bottom of the pile Ross County - whilst his stats look poor they dont take into account that he has not been on the pitch much - struggling to keep the fitness levels up apparently. Gormely looked less of a sunday league player - he could be worth a punt - but we have 4 strikers and (if you count Grant) one on loan already. Can we afford it ? Actually I am struggling to see how we can afford all our central midfield options - there has to be some thinning out in January ?

Sean St Ledger always remember him as a trouble maker on the Big Ron manager documentary.

Sean St Ledger always remember him as a trouble maker on the Big Ron manager documentary. Barry Fry certainly had some choice words for him. Quite a few bright young ex-premier academy right backs in there - it's just like football manager isn't it.

Not suggesting him as a signing, but has surprised me Jermaine Jenas doesn't have a club
While he didn't hit the heights his early career promised still only 31, and played most of last season so is presumably fit. But seems to have drifted out of the game when he could easily play at championship level at least

Be interesting watching Amond on Saturday because i think he's a good poacher and in the right team would score goals.
