Our next 6 league games are below
What do you think the points total will be from these 6 games
For me 11 points would be a good return.
Cambridge A
Morecambe H
Oxford A
Wycombe H
Burton A
Luton A

Some tough games against some of our main rivals at the top end of the league right there. If we get through those without losing, and pick up a couple of wins (so maybe 10 or 12 points) I'll be pretty happy.

Ideally we need to win the first 3 in that list and will take 3 draws or 4 points from the other 3

It's a tough run in a busy period, but hopefully we've the depth in the squad to cope with a busy run of games, unlike Wycombe and potentially others.
Wycombe have a mixed bag:
Southend (5th place) Home Accrington Stanley (13th place) Away Luton (2nd place) Home Us (3rd Place) Hartlepool (bottom) Home York (21st) Home
Luton again have a mixed bag:
Morcombe (11th place)Away Newport (7th place) Home Wycombe (Top) Away Pompey (12th place) Home Mansfield (18th place) Away Us - their place
Burton have the easiest run it appears:
Exeter (9th Place) Away H'pool (bottom) Home Southend (5th) Away Tranmere (2nd bottom) Home Acc Stan (13th) Away Us their place
To still be in a decent position in Jan we'll need a good 6 games, winning the 1st 3 and taking points from Wycombe, Luton and Burton. A massive December for us.

Prefer to take the MM approach. Look no further than the first half of the next game.!!!

Agree with the OP. 11 points would be a very good return for a run that includes 4 away fixtures given our current record. 9 wouldn't be disastrous either in my view, especially if they included some draws against promotion rivals.

In the last 8 games we averaged above 2.6 points per game.
So I would take 16!
It's important we don;t lose to both Wycombe and Luton.
If we put our foot down now and go on another run then we could really make some ground.
One thing I know absolutely for sure - for every side we see as a potential threat to us - they are more scared of us than we are of them.

So Tim Gallon was the closest 9 points was correct So 6 games, 2 wins, 1 loss and 3 draws. 3 goals for and 1 against Happy with that??

Worrying thing for me was how blunt we've looked going forward in the last few games vs how excellent we were at Oxford (first 30mins of which was about as well as i've seen us play away).

Newport away and Southend at home will be tricky but we are strong favourites in the rest.

The 3 goals in 6 games is the statistic that jumps out for me (and hopefully for Mickey Mellon) But equally the 1 against including 3 promotion rivals shows what a great defensive lineup we have

Funny one really as a 9 point return is excellent, one defeat is excellent given the opposition, and only one goal conceded is totally outstanding. Despite all that I am really worried. I was at Cambridge and Wycombe games and watched Luton on sky and all of them highlighted our lack of strength, inciciveness and imagination going forward. JLAA is totally bereft at present and we are really struggling with finding a partner for Collins and for any real flair out wide. I don't want to knock the system or Mellon as he's doing a great job but we've looked so laboured for a while now. I also lost count of the times last night when Collins got pulled wide when he should have been the one jockeying in the box to get on the end of something.
Gayle did not look comfortable at RWB last night so not sure what the option is here. Certainly it was not Passley but neither is Grandison mobile enough to play that role, despite his tricks going forward.
There's also the problem of a proper foil for Collins. If Mangan simply is not fit, and noting that JLAA has had enough chances to prove he can add value there without showing anything, then we need to try something else. Whether this is Grant or even Lawrence in a more advanced role I dont know otherwise I think we'll need to look to the loan market.
I still think we have enough with our current squad to get promoted, but with the squad we have and the positon we are in now it would be a real shame not to grasp this divison by the neck and go up as champions as that is not a possibility that comes around too often.

Very much agree with your points. Don't think Collins is in form either.
