Has to be an early contender for manager of the year. Has somehow got Swindon into the automatic places on the lowest budget in the division with a squad average age of 21, playing a real passing game too. Doesn't seem that long since he was at Telford

Probably - Swindon seem to have a habit of over spending one year then having to pay for it for a few more years, gets them some instant success but then go close to going bust because of it. Hmmmm

Really not sure they have a lower budget than the likes of Colchester, Sc***horpe, Rochdale, Chesterfield, Walsall, Yeovil, Notts County, Oldham, Orient etc?

The fact that jonbond has said they have the lowest budget in League One means that they most certainly do not.
This after all, is an individual who regularly makes astonishing claims that are never borne out in reality. It's fairly troubling that people have taken his comment at face value.

It was a quote from their chairman last week that they had slashed their playing budget to 1.5 mill which he reckons is comfortably the lowest . With sc***horpes reputed to be twice that just shows what a great job cooper is doing.

Swindon back to the top of the table . If cooper takes Swindon up this year it will be one of the greatest promotion feats on recent years. The only comparable ones I can bring to mind are yeovil to the championship and hereford up league 1. He will be hoping for a different outcome than those two sides if they do go up.

Sterling job from Cooper, with the likes of Crewe, Colchester and Walsall blowing him out of the water on the financial side of things.

L.S.F. strikes again, quote:
The person who said Jackson's interview sounded like a Telford manager is spot on. Is it any wonders that the likes of Rob Smith, Mark Cooper and all these nothing between the ears type managers end up walking away from the job or achieving very little. I remember listening to Cooper's interview when he took over, a lot of 'I don't care if the players don't like me' and thinly veiled threats about his so-called 'tough' management style. He lasted about 4 games.
