Just watched Melon, Jackson and the team hand Exeter 3 points on a plate. so proud of town 1st half, Woodsy on fire and 2 great goals. Exeter were woeful. second half I watched a goal go in for Exeter within 2 mins followed by 2 more as Melon waited until 87th minute before bringing on Clarke. in addition we had 2 of our team lucky not to be red carded, and our GK consistently guilty of time wasting even in the last 5 mins when we were 3-2 down
crunching tackles from town and apart from woodsy and grimmer, thought the rest had a poor game. in addition indiscipline on field with Collins and a team mate publically arguing and nearly coming to blows, likewise our GK and a defender publically arguing.
after such a great 1st half display from town, so disappointed to see our manager and asst trapped in headlights like frightened rabbits. all around me Exeter fans chatting about our great red headed number 4 and on the train home. they may not have remembered his name, but they and I will not forget his tremendous performance this afternoon.
So MM sort town's ill discipline out on the field. and make subs earlier. 3 points donated ta very much!!! FS AJ Devon

Players arguing can be interpreted as passion and I am all for it as long as it is constructive and not just abusing each other.

Very interesting viewpoint AJ, perhaps the more so as you are not usually an away supporter - maybe gives some idea as to what is going wrong away.
At half time I wondered if this was the day we were going to give someone a right good thrashing, were their half time drinks spiked or something?
We need to see the wounded tiger mentality next time out!

I didn't see the Players arguing with each other, beyond the sort of discussion I'd expect when we concede goals so easily. Making something out of nothing?
First half great, second half awful. At least it didn't rain.

first of all it was defo Collins and perhaps grimmer, 2nd it was gk and a defender, towards end. my 1st thoughts are if this goes on, on the pitch what is happening in dressing room. it needs addressing by mm or jacko. possibly because we are not used to losing. anyway needs sorting asap. Collins and a n other were arguing right in front of the gaffer1. it may be healthy but I thought it showed indiscipline.
wonderful 1st half display, woodsy never stopped running and distributing. one of towns all time stars, IMO.

one positive is our GD only reversed by 1, and we are still in touch in 4th. glad Plymouth lost.

We went in at half time thinking we'd won the game, that was the issue today.
This result will hopefully remind us games last 90 minutes and we are not as untouchable as we'd maybe like to think (although we probably should've been out of sight by HT)
Fair play to Exeter they played some great stuff second half.

Oh we lost because we care too much!
Thank **** for that, I thought it was because it showed why our players and coaches are in League 2 playoffs.
Phew. Onwards and upwards then. Everything is rosy.

Just back after an extended weekend....
Strange match. Collins had four chances in the first half - scoring the more difficult two and missing the easier ones! For the first time this season, defence looked wrong-footed all match and to go in 2-0 at half time flattered us as Exeter missed two very good chances in the first half - one over the bar from close range and Leutwiler making a good save from a free kick that looked like it was going to bend into the top corner.
We were made to pay in the second half with an utterly uncharacteristic lacklustre display. First goal was possibly offside (the linesman was miles away) but no complaints as our defence practically watched it in, from there on in it was like the Alamo. Hopefully a hard lesson has been learned, Exeter 100% deserved their victory - no complaints from me. Was surprised by lack of substitutions until late as we had ridden our luck in the first half, and the game was screaming out for the likes of Griffith to come on and impose some discipline and control on proceedings.
Disappointed as having looked like we had turned a corner with our away form at York and Dagenham it was a real backward step. I think 3-5-2 away from home (especially as yesterday, with the wing backs pushed high up the pitch, plus two of the central midfielders in an advanced role) is probably too adventurous, and instead opt for a 4-4-2 to give us a bit more balance between attack and defence.
Finally, concerned we are picking up too many cheap bookings of late. I think Lawrence is suspended next week (five yellow cards), with Knight-Percival and Goldson also only one booking from a suspension. It was a long journey home...
