I don't know what it's like where everyone else lives but here in Worcester the city centre pavements are a sea of polka dots of discarded chewing gum and it looks a b****y mess. Is it asking too much for people to either place it in bin or wrap it in the wasted wrapper and take it home. Councils are fighting a losing costly battle to try to clean it up and its us the council tax payers who are footing the bill. You do wonder if chewing gum should be banned but perhaps that is a draconian step too far but some way needs to be found to penalize these thoughtless individuals who can't be bothered to dispose of it properly. There we go I have had my Victor Melldrew rant and feel better now.

Nothing wrong with chewing gum, just the mentality of those that chew it, why do they need to spit it out in the street? Same morons that walk along and spit! Seems to be a 'chav' thing

Chewing gum and cigarette butts are two things that users consider to be acceptable to litter. It is against the law and they will moan if they get caught doing it.
