Jason Bateman the Hollywood actor was just on and they were talking about his mum coming from Shrewsbury. Graham asked how you say it and the reply was!!! Shrews-bury Wonder if they can get him to support the Town to.

Also just seen this. When they said his mum was from England, I was certainly not expecting Shrewsbury to be the place! And there was someone in the audience to back up the pronunciation.

Shrews-bury Wonder if they can get him to support the Town to. Just switched it on from my sky box, and heard that - wife nearly fell off her chair! He was there saying it was Shrews-bury, and then Olly Murs next to him was saying was it Shrows-bury! Random!

Surely the club needs to offer him tickets for next weekends game against Burton?
Really build the marketing up around the match globally and a small percentage in USA.

Didn't he get presented with a Town shirt when he were on some Midlands TV show? Adrian Childs gave him a shirt when he was doing GMTV a couple of years back. It was the strippey shirt.

Shrew pronounced as in the small mammal like creature that we all know and love but to be fair to the alternative pronounciation it is Shroesbury if you look at the ole worlde way it was spelt back in bygone times. Personally it is Shrewsbury (shrew mammal) and not shroe. We are living in the 21st century last I heard and not back in the days of Guy Fawkes, great plagues, spanish armadas etc etc
Say it how you see it and that especially goes out to fools like olly murs

I quite like Pengwern, or Shrozebury City, or even Royal Shrewsbury.
